Given their current form, fans expect coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team to overcome Thailand and realize their dream of winning a different colored medal.

Earlier, at 3:30 PM, the semi-final match of the men's football tournament at the 33rd SEA Games between Vietnam U22 and the Philippines U22 will take place at the Rajamangala Stadium (Bangkok).

This is a highly-rated opponent, having won both of their group stage matches against strong opponents like U22 Indonesia and U22 Myanmar.

In addition, December 15th also marks the end of the swimming competition. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Vietnamese swimming team will conclude the SEA Games 33 with 7 gold medals, all won by male swimmers.

While swimming concludes, athletics will return with an exciting medal race after a relatively "quiet" day with the walking and marathon events. On December 15th, athletics will have many notable events such as men's long jump, men's 3,000m steeplechase, men's 800m, women's 400m hurdles, women's 800m, women's 10,000m…

These are all events where Vietnamese athletes are fully capable of competing for gold medals, with many stars such as Nguyen Thi Oanh, Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Nguyen Trung Cuong, Nguyen Tien Trong…

In addition, weightlifting and wushu also have many final events , promising to be exciting on December 15th.
