This monument is a living symbol of the deep respect and gratitude of the Vietnamese community in Thailand towards their beloved leader, and also affirms the solid development of the Vietnam-Thailand friendship.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Dinh Hoang Linh - Consul General of Vietnam in Khon Kaen; Mr. Luong Xuan Hoa - Vice President of the Association of Vietnamese People in Thailand, President of the Association of Vietnamese People in Udon Thani Province; Mr. Ho Van Lam - President of the Thai-Vietnamese Business Association in Thailand, along with a large number of Vietnamese expatriates in the region.
Speaking at the ceremony, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh emphasized that the inauguration of President Ho Chi Minh's stilt house is a shining milestone, demonstrating the proactive spirit, outstanding efforts, and heartfelt respect of the Vietnamese community in Thailand, especially in Udon Thani – a place that marks the revolutionary activities of President Ho Chi Minh. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the Udon Thani provincial government for their continuous support in helping the historical site become an increasingly important symbol of solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between the two countries.

The Ho Chi Minh Stilt House, with a construction area of 100 square meters, is built according to the original model of the Ho Chi Minh Stilt House at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi . This is the first item in the overall project to expand the historical site to a scale of 4,800 square meters, including other items such as a multi-purpose hall, a replica of the One Pillar Pagoda, etc., expected to be completed in 2028.
Construction began on April 9, 2025, and was completed after eight months, funded by donations from the family of Mr. Pham Duc Dau - Head of the Management Board of the Historical Site - and the Vietnamese expatriate community in the area.
Mr. Pham Duc Dau emotionally shared that the inauguration of the stilt house is a deeply meaningful event, marking a new stage of development for the historical site and authentically recreating the simple yet noble living space of President Ho Chi Minh .

He hopes the project will contribute to education , inspire a spirit of learning, and encourage future generations of overseas Vietnamese to follow the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh. He also added that, once the entire expansion project is completed, it will become a major educational and cultural center for the community.
Representing the business community, Mr. Ho Van Lam affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh's stilt house is a structure of special historical, spiritual, and cultural value. He expressed his joy at the strong cooperation of the community and pledged that the Thai-Vietnamese Business Association will continue to carry out many practical activities to preserve and promote the value of the historical site, and to promote cultural and economic exchange between the two countries.
The inauguration of the stilt house is a journey of preserving historical memories and nurturing our roots in Thailand. President Ho Chi Minh's stilt house in Udon Thani will forever remain a significant landmark, a strong spiritual anchor connecting the hearts of those living abroad with their homeland, and a solid bridge for the enduring friendship between Vietnam and the Kingdom of Thailand.
