Colonel Le Khac Son, Deputy Director of the Criminal Police Department, said that after receiving information in the press and from the public, the Ministry of Public Security directed the police in 13 provinces to review and investigate. In particular, the Criminal Police Department directed and coordinated with the local Criminal Police Departments to verify the information very urgently and decisively.
"The Criminal Police Department is investigating whether or not there was fraud in this volunteer activity," said Colonel Le Khac Son.

The "Nurturing Children" project is a social charity program that has been operating since 2014, aiming to support meals, living conditions, and education for children in mountainous areas, especially in the northern provinces such as Dien Bien , Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, and Son La.
The project focuses on a long-term support model, with fixed monthly contributions, to help children receive school meals.
Recently, the "Nurturing Children" project has faced considerable public scrutiny regarding financial transparency and the management of donated funds. Questions have arisen on social media about bank statements, the funding allocation process, and the relationship between the project and related legal entities and individuals. Some donors have demanded detailed disclosure of the project's cash flow, operating costs, and legal responsibilities.
