On the afternoon of December 14th, the Vietnam U22 team held their final training session in Bangkok in preparation for the SEA Games 33 men's football semi-final match against the Philippines U22 team.
The training session lasted approximately 90 minutes and was designed by the coaching staff with an in-depth training plan focusing on tactics and strategies, aiming to win against the U22 Philippines and thus qualify for the final.
At this crucial stage of the tournament, coach Kim Sang Sik has a full squad at his disposal, with no players experiencing injuries or fitness issues. The players are all maintaining high levels of focus and are ready to enter this decisive match.
Throughout the training session, the South Korean coach spent a significant amount of time reviewing coordination options, game organization, and the ability to transition between attacking and defensive phases.

Speaking ahead of the semi-final match, coach Kim Sang Sik emphasized the tense nature of the encounter. He said, "All our players are well-prepared for a higher goal. No matter how tomorrow's match goes, we will definitely overcome it and win."
A significant advantage for the Vietnam U22 team is that, according to the regulations, yellow cards received in the group stage will be cleared upon entering the semi-finals. This allows the coaching staff to be more proactive in selecting the lineup and implementing tactics.
The only player unable to be present in the technical area was assistant coach Lee Jung Soo, who had already received two yellow cards in the matches against U22 Laos and U22 Malaysia.
According to the schedule, the semi-final match between Vietnam U22 and Philippines U22 will take place at 3:30 PM tomorrow (December 15th) at Rajamangala Stadium.
The match will be played in a knockout format. If the two teams are tied after 90 minutes of regular time, extra time will be held with two 15-minute halves. If the score remains tied, a penalty shootout will decide which team advances to the final.
With thorough preparation both professionally and mentally, coach Kim Sang Sik and his team are heading into the semi-final with the highest determination, ready to fight for the pride of Vietnamese football at the SEA Games 33.
