Captain Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and her teammates engaged in a thrilling and nail-biting back-and-forth battle for points until the very last minutes of the fifth set, before ultimately losing to Thailand 2-3.

Although they couldn't win the historic gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games , the Vietnamese girls still deserve praise.

Overwhelmed with disappointment at having the gold medal so close but letting it slip away, Thanh Thúy and many other Vietnamese women's volleyball players burst into tears.
