After two easy victories against Myanmar and Malaysia, the Vietnamese women's team entered the match to determine the top spot in Group B against Indonesia, who also had a perfect winning record.

This match is crucial because the winning team will secure first place in the group, thus avoiding host nation Thailand – the top contender for the gold medal – in the semi-finals.
Determined to win, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet fielded his best players, including outside hitter Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, who, after resting in the first two matches, returned to the court with her teammates.

The Vietnamese women's volleyball team won their second match at the 33rd SEA Games.
In the first set, the Vietnamese women's team faced only minor difficulties at the beginning of the match but still managed to win 25-20.
Set 2 went more easily for the Vietnamese girls, who quickly established a lead early in the match before winning 25-15.
Set 3 saw efforts from the Indonesian girls, but they could do nothing to prevent their opponents from winning 25-19.
The Vietnamese women's team easily won the match after 3 sets (25-20, 25-15, 25-19) and officially finished the group stage as the top team in Group B.
Thus, Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team will face the Philippines in the semi-final match of the SEA Games 33, which will take place on December 14th. The other semi-final will be between Thailand and Indonesia.
