Against their supposedly weaker opponents from the land of a thousand islands, the Vietnamese women's football team had little difficulty securing a resounding 5-0 victory, earning their place in the final.
Following this victory, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) decided to award the entire team 500 million VND. Adding this to the 700 million VND bonus the team already received after advancing from the group stage, the Vietnamese women's national football team has been awarded a total of 1.2 billion VND by the VFF.
This is a well-deserved reward for Coach Mai Duc Chung's team. The whole team has played very hard from the beginning of the tournament until now.

The Vietnamese women's football team's opponent in the final will be the winner of the second semi-final match between host nation Thailand and the Philippines.
The women's football final will take place on December 17th at Chonburi Stadium. If they win the final and claim the gold medal, the Vietnamese women's football team will set a new record of winning the SEA Games gold medal five times in a row.
In that case, Coach Mai Duc Chung's team will certainly receive an even bigger reward.
