(Dan Tri Newspaper) - At a meeting in Thanh Hoa, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh emphasized that the 15th National Assembly term is a special term, with a large volume of work, many new and difficult issues, and no precedents.

On the afternoon of December 15th, the Thanh Hoa Provincial National Assembly Delegation held a meeting to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) and to summarize the activities of the Thanh Hoa Provincial National Assembly Delegation, 15th term, 2021-2026.

According to the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, over 15 terms, under the leadership of the Party, the Vietnamese National Assembly has made many important contributions to the cause of national construction and development. The 15th National Assembly term, in particular, was a special one, with a large workload and many new, difficult, and unprecedented issues.

During this term, the National Assembly held 19 sessions, passing 150 laws and 49 normative resolutions. Among these were many historic decisions that created a solid legal foundation for economic recovery, institutional reform, and national development in the new era.

For the Thanh Hoa Provincial Delegation to the 15th National Assembly, they have affirmed their position as a strong, capable, intelligent, and experienced collective; always active, proactive, and creative in all activities, leaving many outstanding marks.

In addition, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation has made practical contributions to the overall success of the National Assembly and the development of the locality; playing a bridging role and promptly reflecting the aspirations of voters and the people to the National Assembly.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that, with their great responsibility, each delegate in the Thanh Hoa Provincial National Assembly Delegation should continue to strive, utilize their intellect, dedication, and responsibility to fulfill the important duties of an elected representative.

The Thanh Hoa Provincial National Assembly Delegation needs to continue to effectively implement the tasks of participating in lawmaking according to the 2026 Law and Ordinance Drafting Program and the monitoring and survey activities according to the implementation plan of the 2026 Monitoring Program of the National Assembly and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly.

Furthermore, the Thanh Hoa Provincial National Assembly Delegation needs to maintain unity and closely coordinate with the local authorities in personnel matters; select truly outstanding individuals who meet the standards and are worthy of representing the will and aspirations of the people; and continue to play the role of a "bridge," reflecting the aspirations of voters and the people of the province to the National Assembly, the Government, and central agencies.

Mr. Nguyen Doan Anh, Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, expressed his appreciation for the great contributions, dedication, intellect, passion, and responsibility of the generations of delegates and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Delegation to the 15th National Assembly.

He also expressed his hope that the Provincial National Assembly Delegation would continue to maximize its role as a bridge between the Party, the State, the National Assembly, and the voters and people; listen to, proactively cooperate in resolving difficulties, obstacles, and bottlenecks in institutions, mechanisms, and policies, creating a combined strength to promote the rapid and sustainable development of the province.

On this occasion, 11 National Assembly delegates, 13 collectives, and 14 individuals were honored with Certificates of Commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the activities of the Thanh Hoa Provincial National Assembly Delegation, 15th term.
