For more than 15 years as a near-poor household, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Nga (residing in Loc Trung hamlet) struggled with a life of deprivation and unstable income. In difficult times, she always received care and visits from Ms. Mai and the Commune Women's Union. In 2024, Ms. Nga was connected by Ms. Mai to support 2 breeding cows worth 22 million VND. This is a livelihood that helps her develop her family's economy .
In addition, Ms. Mai also introduced her daughter to a stable job, contributing to increasing her income. “I really appreciate Ms. Mai’s kindness. Thanks to her dedicated help, my family was able to escape near-poverty after many years of effort. I am very grateful to Ms. Mai!” - Ms. Nga shared.

Always considering the care of poor and near-poor households as a responsibility, in the period of 2020-2024, Ms. Mai coordinated to mobilize about 1,600 gifts for poor and near-poor households and families in difficult circumstances with a total value of 480 million VND and awarded 20 health insurance cards to people in special circumstances. From 2024 up to now, she has continued to mobilize the construction and handover of 2 charity houses to families with housing difficulties who are poor and near-poor households in the area.
Ms. Mai shared: “I always keep in mind that as long as I take the time to understand the situation and listen to the legitimate wishes of the people, I will find the right way to support. When I see households in difficult circumstances, especially women, have more stable livelihoods and jobs, I feel very happy and have more motivation to continue working.”
