Presenting nearly 1,800 health insurance cards, bringing "warm Tet" to the poor in the Spring of the Horse Year

On the morning of December 3, the Social Insurance (SI) of Sa Pa base presented 545 health insurance cards, worth nearly 66 million VND to the people of Ta Phin commune in the program "Giving health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances - bringing a warm Tet to the poor in the Spring of Binh Ngo".

Attending the program were officers and employees of Sa Pa Social Insurance; Party Committee and government of Ta Phin commune; representatives of Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam ( Vietcombank ) and households receiving cards.

We will continue to make efforts to bring this humane policy to ethnic minorities in the area.

Mr. Ly Lao Lai (Sa Seng village, Ta Phin commune) said that his family is poor and was previously afraid to go to the doctor because he was afraid of the cost. Now that Tet is coming and he has received a health insurance card, he feels very secure.

The program was implemented by the Sa Pa Social Insurance in all communes and wards with a total of 1,757 health insurance cards, with a budget of more than 168.7 million VND. Of which, the support from the Central and the province was nearly 114 million VND; the rest was contributed by businesses and units in Sa Pa.
