Son La: Removing difficulties in tourism development in Moc Chau and Van Ho areas

On December 3, Comrade Ha Trung Chien, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province and the working delegation inspected and worked with wards and communes in Moc Chau and Van Ho areas and businesses and business households on removing difficulties in tourism development. Also attending were Comrade Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments and branches.

The provincial working group inspected, grasped the situation and resolved difficulties and obstacles in tourism infrastructure with 7 units and enterprises in Moc Chau and Van Ho areas, including: Moc Chau Island tourist site, Ban Ang pine forest high-class resort and entertainment area; Investment project to build a tourist area associated with clean agriculture ; Vigolando community tourism site; Investment project to build Heritage Village eco-tourism resort; Hua Tat entertainment area project, Van Ho commune; Tat Nang waterfall eco-tourism area - Bo Am hot spring project.

At the meeting, delegates expressed their opinions and discussed the guidance for businesses and households to use multi-purpose land for tourism development; procedures, scale, and structure for implementing detachable assembly works on agricultural land; developing tourism on forestry land without affecting forest quality; paying taxes on agricultural land used for tourism development; improving the effectiveness of community tourism development, ensuring compliance with practical conditions and in line with the goal of sustainable economic development...   

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ha Trung Chien, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested relevant departments and branches to develop and issue specific guidance documents on the implementation of multi-purpose land use and construction of prefabricated works to develop community tourism; have plans to develop accommodation facilities in localities according to the roadmap, ensuring to welcome tourists. Moc Chau and Moc Son wards develop plans and implement community tourism points, in the direction of "holding hands and showing how" to help households develop tourism systematically and professionally. Continue to encourage and motivate households with potential land funds to exploit and develop community tourism.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, and wards to develop plans and review and upgrade roads leading to the tourist sites of Ta So, Happy Land, and Vat Hong Pagoda; renovate some historical relics... to ensure service for tourists visiting and experiencing Moc Chau National Tourist Area.
