Located at the foot of Ta Pa and Co To mountains, the nearly 1,200-hectare field appears like a golden valley, attracting tourists and photographers to come and enjoy.

From the small path leading into the countryside to the view across the valley, Ta Pa brings an indescribable sense of peace. The endless rice fields hug the foot of the mountain, creating a brilliant array of colors when the ripe rice blends with the late year sunlight.

If viewed from above, the entire field looks like a multi-colored carpet: bright yellow of the rice crop, young green of the young rice fields, and dark brown in the harvested areas.

Interspersed are rows of towering palm trees – symbols of the Seven Mountains region – along with the shade of cajuput and myrtle trees, creating a highlight for the countryside scene that is rarely found anywhere else.

The best time to see Ta Pa is at dawn or dusk. In the early morning, the gentle sunlight shines through the palm trees, making the fields sparkle. The smell of ripe rice mixed with the mountain breeze makes visitors feel the freshness and purity of the space of the Southwest river region.

In the afternoon, the sun dyes the whole field a deep orange color, the curves of the terraced fields appear softly, creating a romantic scene suitable for taking photos.

Not only possessing unique landscapes, Tri Ton also attracts tourists by the cultural life of the Khmer community that has lived here for a long time. The gentleness, friendly smiles and hospitality of the local people make the journey more warm.

Many tourists say they like to stop at small roadside shops to chat and listen to locals talk about crops, festivals and daily life in the Bay Nui region.

Near the field is Ta Pa Pagoda - a famous Khmer pagoda located on a high hill. From the pagoda yard, visitors can easily have a panoramic view of the golden valley below. The space here is quiet and airy, suitable for resting, breathing fresh air and watching the horizon shimmering with the late afternoon sun. Many people say that just standing at the pagoda for a few minutes is enough to feel the full beauty of Ta Pa in the golden season. Photo by NAG Chau Quang Dien

The journey to Tri Ton is not too difficult, the road to the fields is quite easy to go, suitable for both families and groups of young people. Visitors should choose sunny days, bring hats, drinking water and comfortable clothes to easily move between the fields. The ripe rice season in Ta Pa usually takes place from late November to early December, not a long time but enough to make many people come back to see the golden season once again.
