Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, from Thanh Hai neighborhood A (Phu Thuy ward), carrying a bag of belongings, waded back out onto the road and shared: "It's been almost 70 years since I've seen the water so high. I'm afraid it will rise even higher, so I'll just endure it and go home when it recedes."
In newly flooded areas, local forces quickly mobilized and guided residents to evacuate. Thanks to experience from the previous flood, most people proactively cooperated and left calmly.
In Ung Chiem neighborhood, local forces are still working to evacuate residents from their homes to avoid potential flooding during the night.
According to reporters, at nearly 1 AM on December 5th, at the newly flooded areas, police, military , and local security forces were still on duty, monitoring the floodwaters throughout the night. The water level showed no signs of receding at this time.
