Prosecution and temporary detention of subjects who organized illegal exit for others

On December 4, the An Giang Provincial Police Department of Investigation Security announced that it had issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and execute an arrest warrant to detain Nguyen Thanh Duy (born in 1988, residing in Hamlet 3, Gia Rai Ward, Ca Mau Province) - captain of fishing boat KG-90752-TS, to investigate the act of "Organizing illegal exit for others".

The investigator served the decisions to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and arrest warrant to detain Nguyen Thanh Duy.

Through investigation, it was determined that Nguyen Thanh Duy, captain of fishing boat KG-90752-TS, and three other fishermen discussed and agreed to sail the boat to Thai waters to catch seafood.

In January 2024, after reporting to Kenh Dai Border Guard Station (Tay Yen commune, An Giang province), Duy directed the fisherman to remove the journey monitoring device and give it to a person named Phuc (identity unknown) who was fishing in An Giang waters.

After sending the equipment to Phuc, Duy continued to operate the ship to Thai waters to fish. On January 17, 2024, the Thai Navy patrol discovered and arrested Duy and 3 fishermen. In September 2024, they were returned to Vietnam.

Currently, the An Giang Provincial Police Security Investigation Agency is investigating and handling the subject according to the provisions of law.
