After much effort, authorities have cleared several landslides on Gia Bac Pass in Lam Dong province. Vehicles that had been stranded there for hours have been rescued.
On the evening of December 4th, the Ham Thuan Bac Traffic Police Station, under the Lam Dong Provincial Police Department's Traffic Police Division, reported that all more than 20 vehicles of various types that were stranded at Km41 on Gia Bac Pass, National Highway 28, had been safely rescued.
According to reports, by approximately 4 PM on the same day, after many hours of efforts to clear the landslides and fallen trees in the area from Ham Thuan Bac commune to Son Dien commune, the authorities had reopened the road.

All vehicles stranded at Km41 on Gia Bac Pass due to landslides since the afternoon of December 3rd have been rerouted along National Highway 28 towards Phan Thiet.
According to information from the Son Dien commune authorities, heavy rain lasting from the afternoon of December 3rd to the midday of December 4th caused landslides at more than 10 points on Gia Bac Pass, with many trees falling, paralyzing traffic on National Highway 28 through the pass. Most of the landslides on Gia Bac Pass are located within the Son Dien commune.

Following the landslide, Son Dien commune mobilized hundreds of people from various forces, in coordination with the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police, the Department of Construction, and the road management unit, to focus on clearing the landslide site.
Despite numerous efforts, many landslide sites with large amounts of soil and rocks remain uncleared.

Currently, authorities are organizing traffic flow and guiding people and vehicles through Gia Bac Pass to ensure safety.
As reported by Nhan Dan Newspaper, prolonged heavy rain caused landslides on Gia Bac Pass (Km38-Km51), with large amounts of soil, rocks, and many trees falling onto the road, paralyzing traffic on National Highway 28 in both directions.

At Km41 on Gia Bac Pass, more than 20 cars were stranded. At noon on December 4th, after many efforts to walk through landslides, police and militia forces reached and supplied food and drinks to all those trapped.
