Among those people was Mr. Jean Mrec Poufsan (a foreign tourist). When watching TV news and images on the Internet about the heavy damage caused by floods in Khanh Hoa , he went directly to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to donate 40 million VND with the hope that this support would help people overcome difficulties soon and spread the spirit of sharing in the community. Coming to donate his savings, Tran Nguyen Duy Thien - a student of Xuong Huan Primary School (Nha Trang ward) shared: "My house was lucky not to be flooded, seeing my friends in the flooded area, I felt so sorry for them so I broke my piggy bank and had 500,000 VND brought by my relatives to support. I just hope that the friends in the flooded area will soon stabilize, have a warm place to live, have rice to eat and have school supplies."
