The “state cars” are not mass produced and are usually only present at major national events. Not only are they a means of transport to protect high-ranking leaders, these cars, when appearing, are also considered the pinnacle of power and represent the quintessence of each country’s automobile industry.
Below are the top models of cars for leaders in the world today. What they have in common is that they are all produced by domestic companies, possessing special standards such as bulletproof, private partitions and a series of luxury amenities. Among them, the appearance of Lac Hong 900 LX - the first bulletproof car model in Vietnam - shows the transformation of the Southeast Asian automobile industry.
The Beast 2.0 (USA)

The special limousine serving the US President is also known as Cadillac One, produced by General Motors (GM). The Beast 2.0 is known as a "mobile fortress" with the ability to protect the US President from all threats.
Specifically, the vehicle has an outer shell made of a combination of materials including steel, aluminum, titanium and ceramics, strong enough to withstand armor-piercing bullets and explosives.
The windows are made of multi-layered bulletproof glass, which cannot be penetrated even by sniper rifles. The chassis is reinforced with titanium, ceramic and bomb-proof panels. The car also has special, super-durable tires that can run at high speeds even when punctured.
The vehicle's interior is designed to be completely isolated with separate partitions and air filtration systems to protect against chemical attacks, advanced satellite communications equipment and top security.
Defensive equipment on The Beast 2.0 also includes tear gas guns, fire extinguishers, and possibly a smoke screen system to distract attackers, making it one of the safest cars in the world.
Aurus Senat (Russia)

Similar to The Beast 2.0, Aurus Senat is also a domestically produced limousine to serve the Russian President.
The Aurus Senat Presidential Edition is manufactured by Aurus Motors, in cooperation with the Russian Central Research Automobile and Engine Institute (NAMI).
The vehicle is bulletproof thanks to its multi-layered armored body and 65mm thick tempered glass. The floor has a bombproof reinforcement. Run-flat tires allow it to continue moving even if punctured.
Similar to the US President's The Beast, Aurus Senat also has built-in light attack weapons for bodyguards to use, along with an independent oxygen supply system, ensuring absolute safety for occupants in case of chemical or biological attack.
Notably, the Russian President's Aurus Senat is also capable of ensuring the safety of those inside when completely submerged underwater, using technology applied to Russian submarines. The people of this country call the Aurus Senat a "mobile shelter", due to its ability to protect VIPs on board at the maximum level.
DS No. 8 (France)

A rare electric car chosen as a vehicle for heads of state is the DS No. 8 of French President Emmanuel Macron. Unlike the luxurious limousines of American or Russian leaders, the DS No. 8 has a crossover coupe-like shape, a blue exterior, and a radiator grille that glows in the colors of the French flag.
Notably, this electric car has a sunroof and handles, allowing French President Emmanuel Macron to stand up and wave to people every time he appears in public.
The interior of the DS No8 is finished in premium materials, with handcrafted details such as the pleated door panels, embroidered center armrests and barley straw inlays on the dashboard and door trims.
The French presidential car is equipped with additional protection by armored vehicle manufacturer Centigon. Most of the car's technical specifications are kept secret.
Lac Hong 900 LX (Vietnam)

Vietnam's Lac Hong 900 LX is the latest name to join this lineup, first introduced at the 80th National Day Celebration (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). The vehicle is limited production with 2 standard versions and a bulletproof version for heads of state.
In particular, the bulletproof version is fully armored, with reinforced body and chassis, glass doors and rear bulletproof partition by INKAS Armored Vehicle Manufacturing (Canada) - the world's leading vehicle armoring company.
This protective layer provides resistance to NATO Ball M80 rifle bullets and DM51 grenades. Like other presidential vehicles in the world, Lac Hong 900 LX is also equipped with run-flat tires that can travel 80-100 km when punctured, along with a series of specialized equipment such as oxygen supply system, integrated fire extinguishing system, satellite phone... The bulletproof version has a maximum capacity of 455 horsepower and maximum torque of 620 Nm, which has been upgraded to match the vehicle's weight of more than 5 tons.
The luxurious highlight in the design of Lac Hong 900 LX lies in the logo and gold-plated details inside and outside the car. The interior space exudes luxury with the interior using high-class materials such as Golden Nanmu wood, Nappa leather... The super-wide rear head compartment has a footrest, soundproof glass cockpit partition and a modern intercom system.
Among the models of cars for heads of state, Lac Hong 900 LX is a rare case using a pure electric transmission system. Notably, this is the first car originating from Southeast Asia. The self-development and completion of a bulletproof model of a head of state car puts Vietnam in the same group of countries with the highest level of automobile industry.
This is also a step to demonstrate manufacturing capacity, complex technology integration and supply chain management, showing that Southeast Asia is not only a place to consume cars but has begun to join the group of countries capable of creating iconic products with global technical standards.
