Consumer price index in November increased by 0.4%

(CT) - According to Can Tho City Statistics, the city's consumer price index (CPI) in November 2025 increased by 0.4% over the previous month and increased by 3.19% over the same period in 2024, and increased by 3% over December 2024.

Gasoline and oil prices are adjusted up, affecting the consumer price index in November 2025.

During the month, 2/11 commodity groups recorded CPI increases higher than the average compared to the previous month. Specifically, the transportation group increased by 1.43% compared to the previous month, mainly due to fluctuations in world oil prices, leading to an increase in domestic retail prices. The food and catering services group increased by 0.69% compared to the previous month; in which, the food group increased by 1.16% due to increased input material prices and transportation costs, leading to an increase in some items. There were 2/11 commodity groups with price indexes decreasing compared to the previous month, including: the beverage and tobacco group decreased by 0.01% and the household equipment and appliances group decreased by 0.12%. The remaining commodity groups were relatively stable compared to the previous month.

The average CPI in the first 11 months of 2025 increased by 3% compared to the same period in 2024. Of which, 7/11 commodity groups had price indexes increasing compared to the same period in 2024 and 4/11 groups had price indexes decreasing compared to the same period in 2024.
