A delegation of businesses from Bremen (Federal Republic of Germany) visited and worked at VIMC, opening up many new opportunities for cooperation.

On the afternoon of December 4th, Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC) welcomed a delegation of businesses from Bremen, Federal Republic of Germany, led by Mr. Kolja Umland, Project Manager for Vietnam & ASEAN, WFB – Bremeninvest, to visit and explore cooperation opportunities.

During the meeting, VIMC General Director Le Anh Son provided an overview of VIMC's formation, development, port network, fleet, logistics services, and future development strategy. The General Director emphasized that VIMC is aiming to develop a modern, integrated logistics and port ecosystem, aligned with the digitalization and greening of the supply chain and deeply integrated with the international maritime transport network.

Highly appreciating the expertise and long-standing experience of the State of Bremen in the fields of industry, logistics, and seaports, Mr. Le Anh Son expressed his desire for the State of Bremen to share its experience in training and attracting high-quality human resources, as well as in planning, constructing, and operating deep-water seaports capable of accommodating large cargo ships. These are areas that VIMC is prioritizing to enhance its competitiveness and role in the region.

Members of the Bremen business delegation expressed their admiration for VIMC's scale of operations, operational capacity, and development potential within the maritime and logistics supply chain in Vietnam and the region. The delegation highly appreciated VIMC's development orientations for seaports and logistics, as well as its proactive international integration, and expressed their desire to promote cooperation in areas where Bremen businesses have strengths and VIMC is interested, such as: port construction and operation, logistics service development, port management solutions, and supply chain management.

The two sides also exchanged views on investment cooperation opportunities, sharing management experience, technology transfer, networking with partners, and human resource development, aiming to build concrete cooperation models in the future. Representatives of the Bremen business delegation expressed confidence that, following the meeting at VIMC, both sides will have more opportunities for practical and effective cooperation and investment in the areas discussed, contributing to strengthening economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany.
