Border gate management work is deployed synchronously, especially maintaining 24/7 customs clearance, reforming administrative procedures and applying information technology to process documents.

The automatic control gate system deployed by the Border Guard has shortened the time for immigration procedures to about 30 seconds.

During the year, the Border Guard force detected and handled 19 cases/20 law violators.

Medical quarantine and disease prevention activities have been implemented synchronously; no suspected cases of infectious diseases have been detected; means of transporting goods have been inspected, monitored, and disinfected before entering the country.

In addition to the achievements, delegates attending the conference also pointed out difficulties such as: lack of warehouse systems, duty-free zones, specialized inspection equipment; degraded infrastructure of joint control stations; small-scale border trade activities, dependent on agricultural seasons.

In 2026, the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board aims to continue maintaining 24/7 customs clearance; deploy a digital border gate platform towards a smart border gate model; strengthen border control, promote dialogue with businesses and propose specific mechanisms to attract investment in developing the Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone.
