Dinh Bac - the 'favorite child' has grown up

Nguyen Dinh Bac won the Best Player award in the 2-1 victory of U22 Vietnam against U22 Laos in the opening match of Group B of SEA Games 33. The "favorite child" of Coach Troussier has now become a sharp attacking spearhead for both the club and the U22 team.

Coach Kim Sang-sik also had special praise for striker Nguyen Dinh Bac: “I would like to congratulate Dinh Bac. He played very well and scored two important goals. However, our attack still has some areas that need improvement. We will continue to make adjustments to best prepare for the match with Malaysia,” said coach Kim Sang-sik.

Dinh Bac is a great discovery of Coach Troussier when he wants a revolution to rejuvenate the national team. Striker Nguyen Dinh Bac became the first Vietnamese player to win the best player award in the history of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 tournament.
