The launch event for the music video "Vietnam's Quintessence" - the theme song of the Vietnam Quintessence Award - took place in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together dozens of famous artists.

The song was composed by musician Nguyen Hai Phong, inspired by the flow of Vietnamese identity and the desire to pass on national cultural values to the younger generation.

"I haven't written music for about 5 years. This time, I returned to songwriting because of a man who seemed to have little connection to me, producer Nguyen Phan Giang (organizer of the Vietnam Quintessence Award - PV) . Giang encouraged me to write, and I already had a seed planted within me 10 years ago that never sprouted due to insufficient conditions and circumstances. And so, I entered the Vietnam Quintessence project with great honor - very different from a normal job," he said.

Musician Nguyen Hai Phong shakes hands with producer Nguyen Phan Giang while sharing his thoughts on the music video "Vietnam's Quintessence".

The song brings together 11 singers from different generations: Lam Truong, Phuong Vy, Phan Manh Quynh, Bui Lan Huong, Isaac, Huong Tram, Bui Cong Nam, Lam Bao Ngoc, GreyD, Cao Ba Hung, and Nguyen Hung.

Present at the event, singer Bui Lan Huong said she was impressed from the first time she heard the draft. "I thought, 'How can a motivational song be so good and lively? I have to sing it!'" she recalled.

Bui Lan Huong deeply agrees with Nguyen Hai Phong's viewpoint that "essence comes from culture." Having studied abroad for many years, the singer has observed that wealthy and long-established nations all share a solid cultural foundation.

Nguyen Hung felt both proud and pressured thinking of himself as part of the phrase "the essence of Vietnam," while Lam Bao Ngoc infused her work with gratitude for living and singing under a peaceful and beautiful sky.

The music video begins with a scene of a boy entering a museum and finding a magical box – which opens up a journey of discovery into the cultural mosaics of Vietnam.

The music video recreates the beauty of five pillars of art: music , film, dance, theater, and contemporary art.
