Group 1 includes three hosts Mexico, Canada, USA - assigned to groups A, B, D - along with 9 of the world's strongest teams such as Spain, Argentina, France, England, Brazil, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

Pot 2 includes Croatia, Morocco, Colombia, Uruguay, Switzerland, Japan, Senegal, Iran, South Korea, Ecuador, Austria and Australia.

Group 3 includes Norway, Panama, Egypt, Algeria, Scotland, Paraguay, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Uzbekistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.

Pot 4 has Jordan, Cape Verde, Ghana, Curaçao, Haiti, New Zealand and the six play-off winners.
