
With the theme "The Quintessence of Vietnamese Tea – Connecting Five Continents," the festival creates a space for encounter between local culture and the global flow of integration.
Attending the opening ceremony were Comrade Bui Thanh Son, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Prime Minister; former Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; 26 ambassadors from various countries, representatives of UNESCO, international organizations, businesses, experts, and a large number of domestic and foreign tourists; representatives of ministries, departments, and agencies; international organizations; and 40 ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions from various countries.


On the local side, there were Comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; as well as the participation of businesses, artisans, industry associations and a large number of people and tourists.


Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son said that in recent times, the Government has decisively directed and implemented many policies to remove difficulties and obstacles, creating favorable conditions for people and businesses to develop strongly in tea production and trade, enhancing their position in the world market, and achieving many positive results.
Lam Dong province possesses outstanding potential, with efficient and innovative production models that contribute to building a high-quality and distinctive Vietnamese tea value chain.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Vice Chairman Dinh Van Tuan affirmed: "The 2025 International Tea Festival is not only an opportunity to introduce unique tea products and culture to friends and tourists from home and abroad, but also an important bridge to strengthen international cooperation."
The 2025 International Tea Festival facilitates connections between producers, distributors, and consumers, opening up opportunities for the development of a global supply chain. At the same time, it offers visitors an experiential journey through lush green tea-growing regions, allowing them to meet artisans and explore the depth of Vietnamese tea culture.

The opening ceremony bore a special artistic imprint, with a program staged as an "epic" telling the story of the tea plant's journey from the mountains and forests of Vietnam, through East Asian cultural regions, to the space of international integration.

The stage combines modern performance art, lighting and sound technology, and distinctive cultural imagery of the Central Highlands and Da Lat.



A highlight of the opening night was the donation of 3 billion VND by the Organizing Committee to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province to jointly support social welfare, demonstrating the festival's sense of responsibility to the community and commitment to sustainable development.

At the opening ceremony, the Vietnam Record Organization (VietKings) announced four new records related to tea culture, including the 1927 Ancient Tea Factory and the "Tea Dance of Serenity" performance with 1,111 tea ladies participating.


At the same time, UNESCO Vietnam also awarded the Certificate of Intangible Cultural Heritage Practice to Lam Dong Tea Joint Stock Company, recognizing the company's role in disseminating tea knowledge and contributing to the protection and promotion of national cultural values.
The 2025 International Tea Festival continues until December 7th with many special activities: Tea Gallery, Tea Expo, Tea Summit, street art, tea demonstrations from various countries…
