
With the theme "The Quintessence of Vietnamese Tea - Connecting Five Continents", the festival creates a meeting space between indigenous culture and the world 's integration flow.
Attending the opening ceremony were Comrade Bui Thanh Son, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; former Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; 26 ambassadors of various countries, representatives of UNESCO, international organizations, businesses, experts and numerous domestic and foreign tourists; representatives of ministries, departments, branches; international organizations; 40 ambassadors and heads of diplomatic agencies of various countries.


On the local side, there were comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrade Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; with the participation of businesses, artisans, industry associations and a large number of people and tourists.


Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son said that over the past time, the Government has given strong direction and issued many policies to remove difficulties and obstacles, creating conditions for people and businesses producing and trading tea to develop strongly, improve their position in the world market, and achieve many positive results.
Lam Dong is a locality with many outstanding potentials, with effective and creative production models, contributing to building a Vietnamese tea value chain with high quality and its own identity.

Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Tuan affirmed: "The 2025 International Tea Festival is not only an opportunity to introduce unique tea products and culture to domestic and foreign friends and tourists, but also an important bridge to strengthen international cooperation."
The 2025 International Tea Festival creates conditions to connect producers - distributors - consumers, opening up opportunities to develop global supply chains. At the same time, this is also a journey for visitors to experience green tea regions, meet artisans and explore the depth of Vietnamese tea culture.

The opening ceremony had a special artistic mark, with the program staged as an "epic" telling the journey of the tea tree from the mountains and forests of Vietnam, through East Asian cultural regions to the international integration space.

The stage combines modern performing arts, light and sound technology and cultural symbols typical of the Central Highlands - Da Lat.



The highlight of the opening night was the donation of 3 billion VND by the Organizing Committee to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province to join hands in supporting social security, demonstrating the spirit of responsibility to the community and commitment to sustainable development of the festival.

At the opening ceremony, the Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings) announced four new records on tea culture, including the 1927 Ancient Tea Factory and the performance "Thanh Tam Tra Dance" with the participation of 1,111 tea farmers.


At the same time, UNESCO Vietnam also awarded the Certificate of Intangible Cultural Heritage Practice to Lam Dong Tea Joint Stock Company, recognizing the unit's role in spreading tea knowledge, contributing to protecting and promoting national cultural values.
The 2025 International Tea Festival continues until December 7 with many special activities: Tea Gallery, Tea Expo, Tea Summit, street art, tea performances from various countries...
