According to Booking.com's Travel Trends 2025 Report, domestic travel continues to be the priority choice of the majority of Vietnamese tourists during the 2026 New Year holiday, with 69% choosing domestic travel, and 83% of Vietnamese tourists prefer to travel on weekends to make the most of their vacation.

This year's New Year's Day falls near the weekend, making it the ideal time for Vietnamese people to enjoy a more complete trip.

Da Lat is the second most searched destination, thanks to many vibrant cultural and entertainment activities during the New Year.

Accordingly, the top 10 domestic destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists from December 20, 2025 to January 4, 2026 are: Phu Quoc, Da Lat, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi , Da Nang, Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Mui Ne, Hoi An and Sa Pa.

After Phu Quoc topped the list of most searched domestic destinations, Da Lat was the second destination, thanks to many vibrant cultural and entertainment activities during the New Year.

Mui Ne is in the peak season for international visitors coming to stay for the winter.

Meanwhile, Mui Ne is on the list of most popular beach tourism destinations thanks to its weather and highly rated services.

In particular, luxury resorts are preparing a series of activities to welcome Christmas and New Year with tea parties, cocktails, tree lighting, beach parties and very attractive activities for children.
