The Supreme People's Court of Appeal in Da Nang innovates and improves the quality of trial activities

In 2025, the Supreme People's Court of Appeal in Da Nang will effectively implement activities and emulation movements right from the beginning of the working year, closely following professional tasks; proposing many breakthrough and practical solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations and achieving many positive results.

The total number of cases accepted under appeal procedures was 1,838 (1,760 cases resolved), reaching a rate of 95.75%; the work of handling petitions for review and retrial; the results of review and retrial trials; and the work of handling complaints and denunciations within the authority all achieved a high rate.

The Supreme People's Court of Appeal in Da Nang introduced three judgments to report to the Supreme People's Court's Judicial Council for consideration and selection as precedents in accordance with the provisions of Resolution No. 04/2019/NQĐTP of the Supreme People's Court's Judicial Council on selection, publication and application of precedents.

Digital transformation continues to be promoted, helping to improve management efficiency and service quality for the people; 422 online court sessions were organized, making it one of the units with the highest rate of online trial in the industry.

In 2026, the Supreme People's Court of Appeal in Da Nang will focus on thoroughly grasping and seriously implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party, resolutions and directives of the Politburo and Secretariat on judicial work and building a socialist rule-of-law state.

Speaking at the conference, Party Central Committee member, Party Secretary, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Van Quang praised the Supreme People's Court of Appeal in Da Nang in the context of the whole industry shifting the model of People's Courts at all levels and implementing organizational restructuring.

Chief Justice Nguyen Van Quang emphasized a number of specific requirements and tasks for the Supreme People's Court of Appeal in Da Nang in 2026.

Based on Resolution No. 05-NQ/DU dated November 20, 2025 of the Supreme People's Court Party Committee on leadership and direction of the implementation of key tasks of the court sector in 2026 and Directive No. 03/2025/CT-CA of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court on key tasks of the court sector in 2026, it is requested that the Supreme People's Court of Appeal in Da Nang clearly define responsibilities in improving the quality of appeal trials of all types of cases; urgently develop a plan to implement Resolution No. 05-NQ/DU and specify Directive No. 03 in the direction and tasks for 2026.

The Supreme People's Court of Appeal in Da Nang needs to focus on performing well the task of digital transformation, digitizing case files, contributing to synchronizing information throughout the People's Court system; closely coordinating with prosecution agencies and local authorities to improve operational efficiency, make legal work transparent and strengthen people's trust.
