On the afternoon of December 6, Vu Quang National Park ( Ha Tinh ) released 12 rare wild animals into the natural environment. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Huy Thanh also attended.


At the natural forest of Vu Quang National Park, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Huy Thanh and delegates released 12 individuals including: 2 pig-tailed macaques ( scientific name is Macaca leonine); 2 pythons (Python molurus); 3 falcons (Amur falco amurensis); 4 striped-necked turtles (Mauremys sinensis); 1 box turtle (Cuora mouhotii). These are all endangered, precious, and rare animals that need to be prioritized for protection.



Previously, these rare wild animals were voluntarily handed over by local people. After receiving them, Vu Quang National Park took care of them and rescued them to ensure conditions for their release back into the wild.
Since the beginning of the year, Vu Quang National Park has released nearly 150 endangered, precious, and rare animals back into the natural forest.

Next, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Huy Thanh had a working session with Vu Quang National Park and highly appreciated the unit's biodiversity ecosystem restoration activities. Thereby, building a good image with international friends.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested Vu Quang National Park to move towards multi-purpose activities. In addition to ecosystem restoration, the unit also needs to research and take advantage of its advantages to propose eco-tourism development; support people in the buffer zone to develop the economy . In addition, ensure the effective operation of officials, functional forces, stations and related units.
