(CPV) - This was the directive given by Comrade Vo Thanh Hung, Deputy Chief of the Central Party Office, at the thematic workshop "Solutions to promote digital transformation in Party agencies," held on the morning of December 6th in Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone, An Giang province.

In his closing remarks, Comrade Vo Thanh Hung, Deputy Chief of the Central Party Office, highly appreciated the quality of the presentations and the sharing of practical experiences at the conference.

The comrade emphasized that the results of the Conference should not remain merely words, but must be realized through action. To put the Conference's contents into practice, in his role as the Standing Agency of the Steering Committee, Deputy Chief of the Central Party Office Vo Thanh Hung requested that agencies and units focus on effectively implementing several key points.

For the Department of Digital Transformation - Cryptography, it is necessary to fully incorporate the contributions of the workshop delegates, preside over and supervise the process, ensuring technical uniformity, including the urgent completion of the technical infrastructure; and closely coordinate with units of the Ministry of Public Security to build the Party's data center in Hoa Lac, striving to put it into operation in the second half of January 2016.

In addition, contractors and Party agencies and units at the central level should be urged to digitize operational processes and guidance document systems to meet the set objectives.

Comrade Vo Thanh Hung requested that before December 25th, all issues related to the operational management system and applications pointed out by agencies, units, and users be resolved in coordination with contractors. The operational management system of the Party should be connected to the systems of the Government, the National Assembly , and the Fatherland Front, ensuring safety and efficiency. The solutions to ensure the security and safety of the system should be fully completed and implemented according to Project 204.

In coordination with the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance will guide localities in allocating resources and investing in technical infrastructure equipment to meet information security technical standards, ensuring efficiency, interoperability, security, and avoiding waste.

Develop coordinated incident response plans to ensure network security and safety, viewing data protection as a vital challenge for the Project and the digital transformation process.

For the Central Party Committees and Provincial/City Party Committees, Comrade Vo Thanh Hung suggested continuing to propagate and thoroughly understand the spirit of determination to digital transformation while reviewing and transforming leadership and management methods. Accordingly, it is necessary to advise Party committees to direct all agencies and units to review and restructure processes to suit the application of business operations in the digital environment. For digitized processes, resolutely require agencies and units to apply them effectively and not use paper documents.

"Initial implementation of these procedures will certainly give rise to many problems, even increasing the workload. However, the spirit is to work and improve simultaneously, not striving for perfection, but also not delaying or stopping," emphasized Comrade Vo Thanh Hung.

In addition, priority should be given to allocating resources to upgrade transmission equipment, strengthen and improve the quality of human resources for digital transformation, and resolutely prevent the situation where "the top is running, but the bottom is stopping."

For information technology businesses and businesses collaborating with the Central Party Office, central Party committees, provincial and city Party committees, it is necessary to coordinate closely with agencies and units to implement the tasks of the Project, ensuring adherence to the schedule, quality, efficiency, connectivity, data sharing and security, while strengthening training for users and specialized staff, especially at the grassroots level.

Comrade Vo Thanh Hung noted that digital transformation is a revolution, on the one hand bringing enormous results and benefits, but on the other hand facing countless difficulties and challenges due to objective and subjective reasons. Therefore, it requires high political determination, proactive and positive involvement from Party committees at all levels, especially close guidance from the heads of agencies and units; the cooperation of businesses and technology experts, with a commitment to resolving difficulties wherever they arise, determined to lead Party agencies in the national digital transformation, ensuring leadership, guidance, and management based on digital and real-time data.

Prior to this, the workshop was divided into two sessions, featuring the sharing of practical experiences, best practices, innovative approaches, analysis of limitations and shortcomings in digital transformation, and proposals from representatives of central Party committees, provincial and city Party committee offices, businesses, and technology experts.

In the first session, themed "Strategy for Implementing the Digital Transformation Project in Party Agencies," the workshop heard presentations revolving around the following topics: Digital transformation in the Party inspection sector and Party building work; Developing modern, secure, and synchronized digital infrastructure - A crucial foundation for promoting digital transformation in Party agencies; Secure connectivity - Comprehensive protection in the AI ​​era; Promoting ideas into innovation; Viettel's partnership with localities to quickly, effectively, and efficiently implement programs of the Central Party Office.

At the second session on digital transformation solutions in the operations of Party agencies, promoting data interoperability, improving the efficiency of leadership, management, and Party work in the digital age, delegates presented thematic discussions on the application of tablets with security solutions for operational management in Party agencies; digital sovereignty and data security in the globally interconnected digital age; information security in digital transformation – from awareness to action; storing and protecting petabyte-scale data: A vital challenge in the digital age; and the role of digital transformation in the Party in Thai Nguyen province.
