Coming to Dinh Hoa land, visitors cannot miss Thua Hoa palace - this is the center of the historical relic complex of Thua Hoa palace and Phuc Quang temple located in the villages: Thung Thuong and Thung. The relic has a beautiful location, the southwest is Cau Chay river, the south is Noi mountain, the north is Si mountain and the east is Nhi mountain (Quan Yen mountain). The birth of the relic is associated with Queen Mother Ngo Thi Ngoc Dao - who is praised in history books as "Mother of the world". She was born in the year of Canh Ty (1420), daughter of Du Vuong Ngo Tu, a woman with a special position in the history of the Le dynasty (she was the wife of King Le Thai Tong, mother of King Le Thanh Tong and grandmother of King Le Hien Tong). According to the Ngo family genealogy in Dinh Hoa commune, in February of the 4th year of Hong Duc (1473), King Le Thanh Tong returned to Tay Kinh (Lam Kinh) to pay respect to his ancestors who had returned to his maternal hometown, ordered the renovation of Thuan Mau Duong, renamed it Phuc Quang Tu Duong and built a palace to honor his mother (Queen Mother Ngo Thi Ngoc Dao) named Thua Hoa Palace. In the year Binh Thin (1496), the Queen Mother passed away from a serious illness and was worshiped at Thua Hoa Palace.
The Thua Hoa Palace includes the first, second, and third palaces. Every year on the 26th day of the third lunar month, the locals hold the Phu Nhi Festival. One of the most attractive and unique parts of the festival is the procession of the spirit of Queen Mother Quang Thuc Ngo Thi Ngoc Dao from outside to the Thua Hoa Palace on the 25th day of the third lunar month.
With its historical and cultural values, in 2016, Thua Hoa Temple and Phuc Quang Temple were recognized as national historical relics. In 2018, with the attention of the State, Ngo descendants and people inside and outside the commune, Thua Hoa Temple was renovated and embellished to meet the spiritual needs of the people and tourists from all over. Every year, Thua Hoa Temple and Phuc Quang Temple welcome nearly 20,000 tourists to visit and worship.
From July 1, 2025, the new Dinh Hoa commune was established on the basis of merging the communes: Dinh Binh, Dinh Cong, Thieu Long, Dinh Thanh, Dinh Hoa. After the merger, the cultural space was expanded, cultural values were converged, making Dinh Hoa a locality with many historical and cultural relics. Currently, the commune has 8 ranked historical and cultural relics, including 2 national historical relics, 6 provincial relics; 3 relics have not been ranked.
To preserve and promote the values of the relics, Dinh Hoa commune reviewed and inventoried all relics, assessed the current status, and prepared documents to request funding for restoration and construction of degraded relics. Directed the commune's youth union to develop content to introduce the relics, signposts, and relic information boards; and enhanced education on cultural traditions for students and youth union members.
