Data from the Da Nang City Statistics Office shows that despite unfavorable weather for many months, the city's total tourism and service revenue still reached approximately VND53,000 billion after 11 months of 2025. This resilience comes from the ability to flexibly adjust products, maintain operating rhythms and expand the market.
In fact, from the end of October to November, many tourism products and services in the city were heavily affected by storms and floods, especially some outdoor activities and beach tourism. However, accommodation and food service establishments remained stable, and the revenue of these two groups continued to increase compared to the same period last year thanks to a series of stimulus programs and a series of special events and festivals that were implemented throughout.
The impressive figure is the steady increase in international visitors, contributing to offset the temporary decline in domestic visitors. Of which, the figure of 48,565 billion VND in revenue from accommodation and catering services after 11 months of 2025 (accounting for 21.1% of total retail sales of goods and consumer services) plays an important role in the overall development of the city's tourism, trade and service industry.

Many hotels, restaurants, and service establishments proactively convert outdoor products and services such as: experiencing the sea and outdoors with indoor programs, adding culinary , cultural, and artistic activities...
Some travel agencies have switched to flexible, short-term tours or rearranged the time frame to avoid the worst weather, helping to prevent travel disruptions and prolonging stays. This flexibility has brought in an estimated revenue from travel activities of VND4,242 billion, accounting for 1.8% of total retail sales and consumer service revenue (up 19.5% over the same period in 2024).
According to Mr. Tran Van Vu, Chief of Statistics of Da Nang City, although unfavorable weather has put pressure on tourism activities, overall the city's service and tourism industries are still operating relatively stably.
In addition to demonstrating the proactiveness of businesses, the city's maintenance of a rhythm of activities through a series of cultural, entertainment and sports events throughout the year not only serves tourists but also creates more reasons for visitors to extend their stay.
In particular, the stability of the international tourist market. In particular, the restoration and opening of new direct flights to important tourist markets such as: Korea, Japan, Thailand, Singapore as well as some other countries have contributed to promoting the growth of tourists to Da Nang.
The figure of nearly 53,000 billion VND not only reflects the rapid recovery of Da Nang's tourism industry but also shows that the city is forming a new tourism structure. That is, gradually escaping seasonal dependence, diversifying tourist sources, having a mechanism to prevent weather fluctuations and having better resistance to unpredictable changes.

Mr. Phan Xuan Thanh, Da Nang Tourism Association, said that in the context of many places heavily depending on the dry season for tourism, the fact that the city can still maintain a stable number of visitors during the rainy and stormy months is proof of a sustainable direction.
“Da Nang’s tourism development model is currently shifting towards green, ecological and diversified products and services. In particular, it does not only rely on the sea or outdoor festivals but also increases the role of indoor services, entertainment, cuisine and cultural and heritage products… associated with many unique cultural and artistic events to create “anchors” for visitors to experience all year round,” said Mr. Phan Xuan Thanh.
