Figures from the General Statistics Office ( Ministry of Finance ) show that in November 2025, Vietnam welcomed nearly 2 million international visitors, an increase of 14.2% over the previous month and an increase of 15.6% over the same period in 2024. This is the month with the third highest number of international visitors since the beginning of the year (January and March reached over 2 million).

Thus, in the first 11 months of 2025, the total number of international visitors to Vietnam reached over 19.1 million, an increase of 20.9% over the same period last year - a record high number ever, surpassing the 18 million mark for the whole year of 2019 - the time before the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to the latest report of the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), the recovery of Vietnam's tourism is particularly impressive in the context that the Asia -Pacific region has only recovered 90% compared to the time before the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, the growth rate of Vietnam's tourism is among the highest in the world, along with Japan.

Notably, November 2025 recorded strong growth in high-spending tourist flows. In particular, North American markets, such as the US, increased by 30.5%, Canada increased by 55.9% compared to the previous month.

European visitors also achieved an impressive growth rate of 51.2% compared to October, in which Russia recorded an increase of 37%, UK 31.8%, France 46.7%, Germany 51.4%, Italy 88.9%, Switzerland 47.3%, Czech Republic 148.8%, Poland 255.6%...

According to the Tourism Information Center (Vietnam National Administration of Tourism), the strong growth of North America and Europe in November reflects the trend of attracting visitors from distant markets to Vietnam during the peak season at the end of the year.

In terms of market size, China continues to be Vietnam's largest tourist market in the first 11 months of 2025 with nearly 4.8 million arrivals (accounting for 25.0%). In second place is South Korea with over 3.9 million arrivals (accounting for 20.6%). In third place is Taiwan - China (1.1 million arrivals) and in fourth place is the US (766 thousand arrivals).

Vietnam's top 10 markets also include Japan (754 thousand arrivals), India (656 thousand arrivals), Cambodia (614 thousand arrivals), Russia (593 thousand arrivals), Malaysia (510 thousand arrivals) and Australia (496 thousand arrivals).

In terms of growth drivers, in the 11 months of 2025, the Chinese market increased sharply by 43.1% compared to the same period in 2024. Japan and the US grew well, reaching 15% and 8.4% respectively.

The good growth of European markets shows the effectiveness of the visa exemption policy to enter Vietnam.

In particular, the number of Russian visitors reached 593 thousand arrivals, an increase of 190.9% over the same period last year, affirming Vietnam's position as the largest market in Europe and also the market with the highest growth rate in the region.

This impressive result is thanks to favorable visa policies, enhanced tourism promotion programs, and the organization of large-scale events in many localities that have attracted a large number of international visitors to Vietnam.
