The National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 is gradually coming to an end with many outstanding programs and events. According to the Department of Tourism, in the first 11 months of the year, the number of visitors to Hue is estimated at more than 5.8 million, an increase of 65.3% over the same period; of which international visitors are about 1.8 million, an increase of 40.9%. Overnight visitors reached more than 2.2 million, tourism revenue is estimated at nearly 11,750 billion VND - an increase of 62.7% over the same period last year. These figures show a positive signal for Hue in the year it was chosen as the focus of national tourism.

During the working session between the delegation of Hue City People's Committee and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (November 26) to review the progress of preparations for the Closing Ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong highly appreciated the initiative of Hue City People's Committee in preparing major events of the National Tourism Year. Deputy Minister Ho An Phong requested the Department of Performing Arts to closely coordinate with the Hue City Department of Tourism to develop an art program for the closing ceremony in the right direction, on the right scale, demonstrating the sophistication and identity of Hue. In particular, it is necessary to ensure synchronization from content, technique, live broadcast to security and reception, in order to organize a quality, impressive and widely spread event.

According to the representative of the Department of Tourism, to close the programs of the National Tourism Year, under the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, the People's Committee of Hue City, the Department of Tourism and the organizer BamBoo Artists Agency have researched and built a series of large-scale Hue Mega Concert events, including two key programs within the framework of the closing ceremony, including: the Closing Ceremony of the National Tourism Year at 8:00 p.m. on November 20 and Mega Booming Day 2 (evening of December 21). Both events will take place at Ngo Mon Square.

The closing ceremony is expected to last 90 minutes, consisting of two parts: the ceremony of the organizing committee and the art program "New Opportunity" with a low-altitude fireworks display. "The organizing committee has also implemented a plan and worked with relevant units to prepare the conditions for the closing ceremony of the National Tourism Year," said a representative of the Department of Tourism.

One of the organizing committee's orientations is that in addition to the ceremony, the closing event series will have a grand music festival atmosphere - the largest and most anticipated entertainment event at the end of the year. According to the organizing committee representative, the highlight of the opening event series is the Closing Ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025. Audiences can own tickets through travel combos distributed by reputable travel agencies.

The closing ceremony's art night featured My Tam, one of the most influential singers of V-Pop. In addition, the program also featured Pham Anh Khoa, Xuan Dinh KY, Ngoc Khue, Bach Tra, DJ Huy Ngo, Shumo AG, bringing a performance that harmoniously combined tradition and modernity, with a creative and emotional staging style. In addition, the Mega Booming Day 2 music festival will continue the closing night program, organized on a large scale, gathering 21 leading V-Pop artists such as: Isacc, Hoang Dung, Quan AP, B Ray, Neko Le, Captain Boy, Gemini Hung Huynh... "With the gathering of a series of multi-style artists, from pop, ballad, R&B, rock to EDM - the program promises to create a youthful, passionate and energetic music party. The scale of the program is about 10,000 - 12,000 audiences. We hope to create an impressive art program to meet the expectations of people and tourists", producer and director Chau LE shared.

Create long-term directions

In addition to the closing program, the tourism industry is expected to organize response activities, including: International Conference on Cultural Industries - the foundation for sustainable tourism development and sideline activities; Conference to summarize the Project "Restructuring the tourism industry to meet the requirements of development into a spearhead economic sector" and Preliminary review of phase I of Vietnam's tourism development strategy to 2030. In addition, there will be a series of activities: International Food Festival "Hue - Culinary Capital"; International Chef Competition 2025; Organizing domestic and international travel business delegations to survey destinations in Hue and national conference on Net Zero tourism...

Foreign tourists participate in experiential activities when traveling in Hue

Each activity that has been, is being, and will be organized during the National Tourism Year represents a “product axis” of Hue: Cuisine, culture, creativity, green tourism, and contemporary entertainment. Organizing in this structure helps Hue to enrich its experience portfolio, avoid repetition, and at the same time expand its reach to visitors.

According to the representative of the Department of Tourism, not only the independence in art programs and events, the connection between the event chain organizer and reputable travel agencies not only creates socialized resources to organize large-scale programs, but also connects and builds tours, contributing to the formation of new tourism products, complementing heritage tourism.

Hue is positioning and rebuilding its tourism products, in which the city will also focus on developing products associated with industrialization, music tourism, eco-tours associated with communities and agriculture in localities and regions such as Thuy Bieu, Phu Mau, Nam Dong, A Luoi, Quang Dien, Phong Dien... The experiences that tourists are most interested in are: Cycling to visit Phuoc Tich ancient village, Kim Long - Thuy Bieu traditional garden house tour, SUP rowing on Tam Giang lagoon, visiting traditional craft villages, exploring green tourism routes by electric car, bicycle and the program "One day of Net Zero tourism in Hue"...
