The first "Vietnam Tourism Day 2025" program, held from November 20-23, 2025 in Quang Ninh province, provided a rare opportunity for businesses in the province to meet, connect, and introduce their products directly, practically, and quickly. With the participation of approximately 520 domestic and international tourism businesses, thousands of transactions were completed in Quang Ninh.
Ms. Do Dieu Linh, CEO of Muong Thanh Luxury Halong Center, said: "Through this program, we have met many new and potential partners. We offer attractive and advantageous combo packages, connecting accommodation with famous tourist destinations in Quang Ninh. In particular, MICE tourism services have attracted interest from both domestic and international companies."
Also within the framework of "Vietnam Tourism Day 2025," Quang Ninh province and Da Nang city signed a Memorandum of Understanding on tourism development cooperation, opening a new phase of linkage between the two leading tourism centers in the country. The province also signed cooperation agreements with major travel agencies in the North, Central, and South regions, marking an important step in strengthening regional linkages, leveraging the potential and advantages of Quang Ninh province, and laying the foundation for stronger cooperation in the future.

Following this special program, Quang Ninh continued to host the Vietnam-Japan Local Cooperation Forum at the end of November. Within the framework of the event, linking and cooperating in tourism development was one of the important topics discussed and exchanged in depth between Quang Ninh and localities in Japan.
In the current context, linkages are considered one of the important directions for the recovery and development of tourism. According to Mr. Ho An Phong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, at the Vietnam-Japan Local Cooperation Forum, linkages are an objective requirement in tourism development. Linkages help expand the scope, leverage the strengths of localities, create diverse and attractive tourism products, enhance competitiveness, mobilize resources, create a strong promotional force for shared destinations, attract investment, and promote the spread of socio-economic development across localities and regions.
Following that direction, Quang Ninh province has recently expanded its tourism development cooperation with other provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Khanh Hoa, Thai Nguyen, Ha Nam, Bac Ninh, Vinh Phuc, and southern localities like Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho. Da Nang City, in particular, is a destination that the tourism sector is focusing on promoting. At the end of October, a provincial delegation held a working session in Da Nang City with local authorities, met with over 20 businesses, and visited, connected with, and directly exchanged information with several large travel companies with a large and diverse customer base to promote and introduce the potential, strengths, destinations, and tourism products of Quang Ninh. The delegation also expedited the reopening of the flight route from Quang Ninh to Da Nang, thereby connecting the two markets and opening up diverse and convenient tourism options for domestic and international tourists.
For the international market, the province aims to welcome over 4.5 million tourists in 2025. Besides traditional markets such as Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia, Quang Ninh province is paying attention to and preparing the necessary conditions to attract tourists from India, the Muslim community, and some new markets in Europe. Many fam trips and press trips from India and Italy have visited Quang Ninh to survey the infrastructure and tourism services, and have given positive feedback on attracting tourists to the province.
Furthermore, the tourism sector has actively implemented diverse foreign relations and international cooperation activities to promote tourism development, such as: cooperation between Quang Ninh province and three northern provinces of Laos; organizing an online tourism conference between Quang Ninh province, Vietnam and Guangxi province (China); and implementing cooperation activities within the framework of the East Asia Tourism Alliance (EATOF)...
Mr. Nguyen The Hue, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Tourism Association, said: The Association in particular and the tourism industry in general have always been proactive in linking tourism with ministries, sectors, businesses, and localities nationwide. Tourism promotion and advertising have been carried out from a very early stage. Many survey and networking delegations have visited localities in the province to learn about tourism products, service quality, and prices. The Association also proactively connects tourist destinations and areas, builds a network of linkages between service providers in transportation, accommodation, and restaurants to reduce costs and prices; develops promotional programs to attract tourists; introduces new tourism products of Quang Ninh; and encourages businesses in the province to have programs to stimulate demand and offer discounts suitable for large groups, combining many attractive and high-class service packages to attract tourists.
