Spread the movement to every community
Cu Jut commune was established on the basis of merging Ea T'ling town and the communes: Tam Thang, Truc Son, Cu Knia. The new area is 10,438 hectares wide with 50 villages, hamlets, and more than 49,000 people of 20 ethnic groups, of which ethnic minorities account for 34%.
Diversity in culture, religion and customs creates advantages but also poses many requirements in the work of building grassroots cultural life.
Immediately after operating under the 2-level local government model, the People's Committee of Cu Jut commune issued Decision No. 1316/QD-UBND on the establishment of the Steering Committee "All people unite to build a cultural life".
The Steering Committee was strengthened and assigned specific tasks to each responsible sector; at the same time, operating regulations were issued and guiding documents were regularly deployed to put the movement into practice.

Thanks to the synchronous participation, propaganda work was promoted to each household and each residential area. People were mobilized to implement policies and guidelines, abide by village conventions and covenants, actively reconcile internal conflicts, and ensure security and order.
The movement of voluntarily donating land to open roads and build intra-field and inter-village roads continues to spread strongly. Many inter-family solidarity groups have been established, supporting each other in economic development and sustainable poverty reduction.

The results show that the cultural movement has made a significant contribution to poverty reduction. The commune's poverty rate decreased from 1.9% in 2024 to 1.36% in 2025; near-poor households from 4.17% to 2.65%. Many good cultural values were promoted, and community ties became increasingly stronger.
In 2025, Cu Jut commune had 9,419/9,831 households achieving the title of "Cultural Family" (reaching 95.81%); 50/50 villages, hamlets, and hamlets achieved the standard of "Cultural Residential Area". These numbers show the high consensus and strong spread of the movement.

Mr. Tran Xuan Uyn’s family has maintained the title of “Cultural Family” of Cu Jut commune for many years. Mr. Uyn always reminds his children and grandchildren to live civilly, study diligently, and comply with local regulations. Mr. Uyn’s family takes care of the house’s landscape, maintains public hygiene, and is always a pioneer in community activities.
Good family discipline makes the village peaceful. Each family contributes a small part to change the face of the homeland.
Mr. Tran Xuan Uyn, Cu Jut commune
Preserving identity, enhancing grassroots cultural life
According to Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee Nguyen Anh Son, in recent times, Cu Jut commune has devoted many resources to building and upgrading cultural institutions, especially in ethnic minority areas.
Currently, the commune has 50/50 village, hamlet, and hamlet cultural houses; 1 library; 1 stadium; 3 football fields and 1 park serving the community. These projects create a healthy living space, promoting the strong development of the mass cultural and sports movement.

Many roads are planted with flowers and have lighting, creating a green, clean and beautiful landscape. The rate of households registering for waste collection is over 90%; households using clean water is over 99%. Self-management groups proactively encourage people to keep the environment clean, prevent epidemics, plant trees and maintain model roads.

Security and order in the area are stable. Conflicts are promptly resolved, contributing to maintaining peace in the village. The work of building and implementing village covenants and regulations has also achieved many outstanding results.
All 50 villages, hamlets, and hamlets have had their village covenants reviewed and amended to suit the reality, emphasizing the content of building a civilized lifestyle, eliminating bad customs and superstitions, and preserving the cultural identity of ethnic groups. 100% of households registered to implement the village covenants and conventions and did not violate the regulations on civilized lifestyle in weddings and funerals.

In the process of implementing the two-level government, the Commune People's Committee continues to direct residential areas to add new criteria suitable for building advanced new rural areas, promoting people's ownership and enhancing community participation in socio-economic development.
The synchronous efforts from the government to the people have created a strong driving force for the cultural movement in Cu Jut to develop sustainably. Rich cultural life and united community have become a solid foundation, contributing to building a new rural commune that is increasingly prosperous, modern but still imbued with identity.
