Nearly 40 households in Thach Ha visited the guava pear growing model in Thanh Hoa

(Baohatinh.vn) - Visiting and learning experiences at typical Taiwanese guava growing models in Thach Thanh commune (Thanh Hoa) helps people in Thach Ha (Ha Tinh) diversify their crop structure and contribute to economic development and income increase.

On December 6, the People's Committee of Thach Ha commune organized a tour to learn from typical Taiwanese guava growing models in Thach Thanh commune ( Thanh Hoa ). The tour was attended by commune leaders and nearly 40 local households.

Taiwanese guava is a fruit tree variety with good adaptability, fast growth and high yield. In Thach Thanh commune (Thanh Hoa), many households have converted ineffective rice fields to guava cultivation, bringing high yield and economic efficiency.

It is known that each year, guava trees yield a harvest value of 600 - 700 thousand VND/tree; with 1 hectare, the income is from 90 - 100 million VND/year.

People of Thach Ha commune are excited to learn about the Taiwanese guava growing model.

During the visit, the delegation of Thach Ha commune was introduced and guided to learn about the techniques of selecting varieties, organic planting and care processes, and fruit wrapping techniques to limit pests and diseases. The delegation also received methods of saving irrigation, quality control and linking output for products. These are all important experiences that can be applied in the local agricultural production conditions.

In Thach Thanh commune (Thanh Hoa), many households have converted ineffective rice-growing land to guava cultivation, bringing high productivity and economic efficiency.

The tour has created more motivation for farmers in Thach Ha commune to continue to innovate their thinking, boldly apply science and technology to production, towards building effective and sustainable economic models, contributing to increasing income and building advanced new rural areas in the area.
