Hai Phong Port supports Quy Nhon Port in overcoming natural disaster consequences and promoting comprehensive cooperation

On the afternoon of December 3, 2025, in the competitive atmosphere of the whole system, Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company organized a ceremony to present funds to support Quy Nhon Port Joint Stock Company to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 13 and the prolonged flood, through the form of an online television bridge connecting the two ends of the Hai Phong - Quy Nhon bridge.

Attending at Hai Phong Port were Mr. Pham Hong Minh - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Tuong Anh - Member of the Board of Directors, General Director; along with the Executive Board, Chairman of the Trade Union, Secretary of the Youth Union and representatives of the leaders of the departments and affiliated units. At Quy Nhon Port, there were Mr. Le Hong Quan - Party Committee Secretary, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Toi - Full-time Member of the Board of Directors; along with the Executive Board, Chairman of the Trade Union and representatives of the affiliated units.

Recently, Quy Nhon Port was heavily affected by storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi) with wind gusts of over 200 km/h, followed by widespread rain and floods, causing damage to infrastructure, mining equipment and workers' lives. The entire port has more than 140 cases of workers' families having their roofs blown off or being flooded.

Speaking at the Hai Phong Port bridge, Mr. Pham Hong Minh - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors emphasized that during the peak period of implementing the campaign " VIMC Breakthrough - 40 days of lightning speed", the spirit of solidarity and sharing among member units has a special meaning. The support is a timely source of encouragement, adding motivation for Quy Nhon Port to quickly restore infrastructure, stabilize production, and join the Vietnam National Shipping Lines system to complete the set goals.

Right at the ceremony, the ceremony of handing over and receiving the symbolic plaque of the support amount of 100,000,000 VND was solemnly performed through the screen connecting the two points, demonstrating the solidarity and closeness between the two ports in the North - Central region.

On behalf of Quy Nhon Port, General Director Le Hong Quan sincerely thanked Hai Phong Port for its timely and kind support; informed that the Company has proactively reviewed and organized two emergency support payments for 100% of affected workers, helping to stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind. The support funds from Hai Phong Port will be used for the right purposes, openly and transparently, with priority given to essential equipment and facilities serving production.

In addition to the content of supporting the recovery of natural disasters, the leaders of the two ports discussed and agreed on the direction of strengthening coordination in the coming time. Hai Phong Port affirmed its willingness to share management experience, support human resources and equipment for exploitation when Quy Nhon Port has a need. The two sides will actively seek cooperation opportunities based on the strengths of each unit, in order to optimize resources, improve service quality and support each other to successfully complete assigned targets.

Receiving the "support" of the friendly unit, Quy Nhon Port commits to focus all resources, speed up the progress of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, strive to complete the restoration of key infrastructure items in the first quarter of 2026, soon stabilize the exploitation capacity, create a breakthrough foundation for the 2026 production and business plan.
