At the Quy Nhon Port location were Mr. Le Hong Quan – Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Toi – Full-time Member of the Board of Directors; along with the Executive Board, Chairman of the Trade Union, and representatives of affiliated units.
Recently, Quy Nhon Port was severely affected by Typhoon No. 13 (Kalmaegi) with wind gusts exceeding 200 km/h, followed by widespread flooding, causing damage to infrastructure, operating equipment, and the lives of workers. Over 140 families of workers at the port suffered roof damage and flooding.
Speaking at the Hai Phong Port branch, Mr. Pham Hong Minh – Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors – emphasized that during the peak period of the " VIMC Breakthrough – 40 Days of Rapid Progress" campaign, the spirit of solidarity and sharing among member units is especially significant. The support is a timely encouragement, providing further motivation for Quy Nhon Port to quickly restore its infrastructure, stabilize production, and work together with the Vietnam Maritime Corporation to achieve its set goals.
Right at the ceremony, the symbolic handover of the 100,000,000 VND donation was conducted solemnly via a screen connecting the two locations, demonstrating the solidarity and close relationship between the two ports in the North and Central regions.
On behalf of the Quy Nhon Port staff, General Director Le Hong Quan expressed his sincere gratitude for the timely and compassionate support from Hai Phong Port; stating that the company had proactively reviewed and organized two rounds of emergency support payments for 100% of affected employees, helping to stabilize their lives and ensure their peace of mind at work. The financial support from Hai Phong Port will be used appropriately, transparently, and prioritized for essential equipment and facilities serving production.
Besides supporting disaster relief efforts, the leaders of the two ports exchanged views and agreed on directions to strengthen cooperation in the future. Hai Phong Port affirmed its readiness to share management experience and provide human resources and equipment to support operations when Quy Nhon Port needs it. Both sides will actively seek cooperation opportunities based on the strengths of each unit, aiming to optimize resources, improve service quality, and support each other in successfully achieving assigned targets.
Receiving heartfelt support from its partner unit, Quy Nhon Port is committed to focusing all resources and accelerating the recovery process after the natural disaster, striving to complete the restoration of key infrastructure items in the first quarter of 2026, quickly stabilizing operational capacity, and creating a breakthrough foundation for the 2026 business plan.
