During the Company 1 meeting, Sergeant Danh Phuoc Dat and Corporal Nguyen Minh Thanh enthusiastically prepared some money to contribute to the piggy bank. Holding the piggy bank, Dat smiled and said: "My family is fine so I want to share with my teammates who are still struggling. Each person contributes a little, and it will be saved into a meaningful gift to send to their families." Next to him, Corporal Minh Thanh could not hide his joy: "The money I contributed was not much, but when the whole unit added it up, we could help our teammates. Every time we see the recipients touched, we also feel warm inside."

Immediately after the contribution, the Company 1 Command Board gave support to 2 soldiers in difficult circumstances. Amidst the applause and cheers of their comrades, the small gifts became a great motivation, helping the soldiers to be more confident and attached to the unit. One of the cases receiving support in the third quarter of 2025 was Sergeant Danh Cao, from Vinh Tuy commune. Cao's father worked as a construction worker, his mother worked as a hired rice weeder, and the family's finances were in short supply. When he received 400,000 VND from the fund, Cao immediately sent it back to his hometown. "My parents were very happy and sent their thanks to the unit. I was also touched, knowing that everyone thought of me," Cao shared. For Cao's family, the amount of money was not large, but it contained the sentiment of sharing and companionship of a soldier.
Captain Au Ngoc Khoe - Political Commissar of Battalion 207 said that the piggy bank model was deployed in 2021, stemming from the fact that many non-commissioned officers and soldiers are still facing difficulties. "We mobilize the whole unit on a voluntary basis, promoting democracy so that everyone can contribute their opinions. In addition to contributions from salaries and allowances, the unit also uses sources of income such as increased production or selling scrap to put into the common piggy bank," Captain Khoe said.
Every quarter, the companies of Battalion 207 will open their piggy banks, publicly evaluate and support 2-3 difficult cases, from 300,000 - 500,000 VND/person. The selection is carried out strictly, based on the proposals of the soldiers of each company, ensuring the right people, the right circumstances. From 2021 to now, the model has supported about 300 soldiers and officers, visited the sick, bereaved families and encouraged those in especially difficult circumstances, with a total amount of over 110 million VND. That number not only shows the sharing but also reflects the spirit of solidarity, sharing the joys and sorrows that has become a beautiful way of life of Battalion 207. Thanks to the timely attention, many non-commissioned officers and soldiers feel secure in their work, overcome difficult times, and are determined to complete their assigned tasks well.
Captain Au Ngoc Khoe affirmed that the model will be maintained and expanded. The unit will periodically review and support difficult cases; organize visits and give gifts to families on holidays, New Year, and anniversaries. "We hope that the piggy bank of love is not only a support model but also a way to foster a beautiful lifestyle in each officer and soldier, so that the collective knows how to love, unite and always accompany each other in all circumstances," Captain Khoe emphasized.
From small coins gathered together, the piggy bank fosters solidarity and is a symbol of comradeship and teamwork. And every time the piggy bank is opened, the joy of sharing and love spreads throughout the unit.
