Infographic: Pear trees contribute to poverty reduction for Muong Hum people

From a variety of trees that were once grown experimentally on poor land, pears have become the “sweet fruit” of the consensus between the government and the people of Muong Hum. Each pear season, not only does it bring income to hundreds of households, but it also opens up eco-tourism opportunities, creating a new mark on the journey to a sustainable agricultural economy in the highlands of Lao Cai.
