Speaking at the event, Chairwoman of Ba Dinh Ward People's Committee Pham Thi Diem said: "The implementation of the initiative "Heritage tourism journeys in Hanoi city" is an important milestone, marking a new development step in connecting heritages in the area, creating continuous, scientific and attractive sightseeing routes. These journeys not only contribute to raising public awareness of heritage conservation, but also open up opportunities for local socio -economic development through sustainable tourism, promoting exchanges, enhancing integration, promoting culture and traditional beauty of Vietnamese people to international friends. Today's event is also a clear demonstration of the spirit of cooperation and brings many important messages: we are ready to open the door for creativity, innovation and development".

"We expect that through digital experiences, introduction programs, presentations, interactions and information sharing within the framework of the event, delegates will have a more complete view of the efforts of Hanoi City and Ba Dinh Ward in preserving and promoting heritage; thereby spreading good cultural values to the domestic community and international friends" - Ms. Pham Thi Diem said.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Vietnam Olivier Brochet emphasized that this scientific, cultural and institutional cooperation is a miniature of the France-Vietnam relationship, a relationship based on trust, knowledge sharing, innovation and a common aspiration in preserving and promoting heritage values. Over the past year, groups of French and Vietnamese experts have made continuous efforts to survey, research, analyze and honor the special richness of Hanoi's heritage.

Thanks to this innovation, heritage becomes closer to everyone – from tourists, pupils to students with just a mobile phone. These itineraries are not only for tourists. They are also effective educational tools for high schools and universities; a means of cultural communication for tour guides, museums and local people; and a valuable methodological model for researchers. These itineraries will help everyone see Hanoi from a new perspective – a historic but always vibrant capital, where tradition is interwoven with the challenges of modernity.

According to Ambassador Olivier Brochet, the project not only introduces heritage itineraries to the public, but also lays the foundation for a new phase: building a city that considers heritage knowledge as a driving force for sustainable development, a factor to enhance cultural and tourist attractiveness, and a training tool for younger generations. France will continue to accompany Vietnam on this path, with the same enthusiasm, listening and determination as before.

As the leader of this cultural project, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hiep, International Technical Expert of Expertise France, shared: Hanoi is a city of thousands of layers of cultural sediments, where each relic and each street preserves stories, memories and long-standing traditions. However, to bring these values closer to the public – especially young people and international tourists – we need new, modern and more accessible approaches.

"These trips not only serve tourists, but are also a learning tool for students; a reliable source of research materials; and a form of practical cultural education for the local community. We expect that after the pilot phase, the model will be completed and replicated in other districts of the capital; and further, in locations across Vietnam" - Dr. Nguyen Thi Hiep said.

The project "Heritage tourism itineraries in Hanoi city" introduces and promotes the values of tangible, intangible and digital heritage of the capital through four pilot itineraries.

The first journey, Thang Long Tu Tran, will take participants to explore four sacred temples including Bach Ma, Voi Phuc, Quan Thanh and Kim Lien, which honor the sacred cultural identity and unique spiritual structure of Hanoi. The second journey connects eight Mother Goddess temples, including Lieu Hanh Mother Goddess Temple and the Holy Mothers, representing the Three Palaces belief, an intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO. The third journey, Communal Houses for the Ancestors of the Crafts, will take visitors through communal houses in Hanoi's Old Quarter, which preserve the imprints of the founders of traditional crafts. The fourth journey explores pagodas associated with the name of Monk An Thien (Phuc Dien), one of the typical founders of Vietnamese Buddhism.
