Orphaned father at 5 months old, mother seriously ill, dream of becoming a doctor to help others

Duong Nguyen Chuc Ly (born in 2015), is currently a 5th grade student at Ninh Son Primary School, Bach Quang Ward, Thai Nguyen Province. Chuc Ly's life has been full of deprivation since birth. When she was only 5 months old, her father passed away due to stomach cancer. Ly currently lives with her mother, Nguyen Thi Hao, and her brother, Duong Nguyen Ngoc Chung.

Since her husband passed away, Ms. Hao has been supporting her family alone. Her health is poor and she has no stable job. By August 2025, her condition has worsened, her whole body aches, and she has to be hospitalized regularly. Her thin, pale body has made her unable to work or raise livestock as before.

The family’s only source of income is the social welfare of 1,000,000 VND/month, just enough to buy rice and food for each meal. Since Ms. Hao became seriously ill, life, which was already difficult, has become even more difficult.

Ly’s brother had just passed the entrance exam to grade 10 at a vocational school. But because he loved his mother and sister, Chung dropped out of school to go to work early. He followed his cousins to study refrigeration, studying and working at the same time. The income was not significant but he hoped to be able to help his family. Chung admitted that he really wanted to continue studying to have a stable career, but he put his dream on hold to give that opportunity to his sister.

Chuc Ly's childhood was a long time without love. Her father died early, her mother was often hospitalized, forcing her to be independent from a young age. When she was in 5th grade, Ly cooked, washed clothes, cleaned and took care of herself. Quiet and understanding, her face always had a hint of sadness. When she felt sorry for herself, Ly just sat quietly in a corner and cried alone.

The artists could not hide their sympathy for the mother and her three children in this life full of deprivation.

The child's situation made the artists unable to contain their emotions. MC Duong Hong Phuc choked up when he learned that his family had suffered losses due to the flood, Ms. Hao's health was exhausted, and the economy was increasingly deteriorating. He shared that his eldest son was also in 10th grade and his daughter was only one year older than Chuc Ly, so he felt even more heartbroken when he saw that the two Ly siblings had suffered so much.

The male MC decided to donate 5 million VND, hoping to motivate Chung to have the opportunity to return to school. He also called on the community to join hands to support the two brothers to continue going to school.

Actress Quynh Kool said that having to drop out of school due to lack of money was a huge trauma. The actress was moved when she saw Chung forced to drop out of school early to go to work. She decided to support all of Chung's education expenses for 3 years of high school so that he could return to school with peace of mind.

Quynh Kool also choked up when she heard Chuc Ly confide her dream of becoming a doctor to cure her mother and help people. “A little girl with such a big and meaningful wish made me very touched ,” she said.

Actor Ha Viet Dung could not hide his heartache when he saw Chuc Ly being deprived of fatherly love since she was 5 months old. He burst into tears, hugged the baby to comfort her and supported the family with 5 million VND to cover living expenses.

Mother passed away, two hyperactive children, father quit his job and returned to the countryside to take care of his children

Nguyen Minh Tu (born in 2016), a 4th grade student at Phong Chau Primary School, Dong Tien Hung Commune, Hung Yen Province, is one of the especially difficult circumstances in episode 163 of the program Vietnamese Family Home . Her mother passed away from a serious illness two years ago, and Tu currently lives with her father and two twin sisters with developmental delays. Her father, Nguyen Minh Tien (born in 1987), is both a father and a mother, supporting the whole family.

Previously, Mr. Tien sent his children to his grandparents to work in Hanoi. When his grandmother suffered from severe kidney disease, he was forced to quit his job and return to his hometown to take care of his children. Furniture and clothes are all given by the neighbors.

Although young, Tu is very understanding and has a sense of responsibility towards his family. He has many dreams, but because of poverty, he has become shy and self-conscious. When asked about his future, Tu only hopes to become a driver to earn money to take care of his father and two sick sisters.

The situation of Mr. Tien as a single father makes the artists feel sorry. MC Duong Hong Phuc said that the most difficult thing for Mr. Tien is taking care of his children and having to make a living, especially when the three Minh Tu brothers all lack motherly love and the two children do not develop normally. Touched by the family's situation, the male MC donated 5 million VND to support living expenses.

Actress Quynh Kool sent words of encouragement to Minh Tu, hoping that she would study hard so that she could support her father and two younger siblings in the future. To bring more joy to the children, she and actor Ha Viet Dung pooled money to buy the family a new TV.

As for Ha Viet Dung, he was speechless when he witnessed Minh Tu's situation and felt even more heartbroken when he learned that Mr. Tien, a father of the same age as him, had to take care of three small children by himself. In addition to buying a TV with his colleagues, the actor also donated 5 million VND to help the family with their living expenses.
