Synchronously deploy solutions to accelerate exports and improve quality

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Phung Duc Tien affirmed that the sector has synchronously implemented resolutions, strategies, planning and development plans; firmly maintained the growth target of 4% and strived for export turnover to reach 65-70 billion USD by 2025. The Ministry continues to perfect institutions and policies, review legal documents, prioritize resources to implement action programs, and at the same time implement administrative reforms, digital transformation, and simplify procedures in the fields of agriculture, environment, land and minerals.

At the same time, the Ministry promotes restructuring of the sector in association with ecological agriculture, green economy , and circular economy; improving productivity, quality, added value, and production and business efficiency. Conferences and working groups to support exports, international trade negotiations, IUU inspections, and forest fire prevention and control are being implemented synchronously.

Solutions on digital transformation, application of science, technology, innovation, promotion of domestic and export markets, especially adaptation to reciprocal tariffs from the United States, are also deployed. At the same time, strengthening resource management, natural disaster prevention, effective exploitation of land and water, creating space for large-scale production of goods and accelerating the progress of key public investment projects.

Along with that, information and communication on agriculture and environment are promoted, spreading effective production and business models, ensuring the provision of accurate and scientific information, helping businesses and people grasp the market, ensuring sustainable export growth.

Thus, with synchronous solutions in management, technology, market and policy, Vietnam's agricultural, forestry and fishery exports are accelerating strongly, approaching the target of 65-70 billion USD, consolidating its position as a major agricultural commodity exporter in the world.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Phung Duc Tien emphasized:

In the context of many difficulties, Vietnam's agricultural sector still maintains stable production and approaches the export target of 65 - 70 billion USD by 2025. Notably, the US and Chinese markets have positive changes: China accounts for over 22% of market share, the US 20.5%, while Europe continues to grow strongly, reflecting a positive shift in market and export quality.

If the growth momentum of about 6 billion USD in December is maintained, the agricultural sector can reach the export turnover target of approximately 70 billion USD in 2025. Despite many challenges from trade conflicts and international fluctuations, Vietnam's agricultural sector still achieved positive results, creating momentum for development in the 2026 - 2030 period.
