This year's exhibition attracted more than 200 businesses in the supporting industry ecosystem and 60 industrial parks to display products and solutions. Businesses introduced a variety of products and solutions: components, spare parts, raw materials, semi-finished products; machinery, equipment and technology for production; automation solutions, robots, digital technology ; technical services, supply chain management services and specialized consulting.
The event creates opportunities for domestic supporting industry enterprises to connect directly with leading manufacturers, FDI enterprises, large manufacturing corporations and the industrial park ecosystem. This is an important platform to help Vietnamese enterprises expand cooperation and participate more deeply in the global supply chain.

In addition to displaying products, the program also arranged an area to honor products and solutions with Vietnamese brands, demonstrating the aspiration to improve industrial autonomy and affirm the position of Vietnamese enterprises in the international supply network.
Identify barriers and promote businesses to join the supply chain
One of the major highlights of the event was the Forum on Promoting the Development of Vietnam's Supporting Industry in the Global Value Chain by 2025. Here, experts, managers and businesses analyzed the ability of Vietnamese enterprises to participate in international supply chains, identified barriers, and proposed practical solutions.
The discussions revolved around key issues: the trend of shifting global supply chains, standard requirements of multinational corporations, logistics costs, the level of technological responsiveness of Vietnamese enterprises, and the human resource problem in the supporting industry sector.
Sharing at the event, Mr. Ha Van Ut, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized: Supporting industry is always considered the "backbone" of modern industry, playing the role of supplying components, spare parts, materials and core technical processes for key manufacturing industries. The capacity of the supporting industry directly reflects the level of autonomy of the economy.

According to Mr. Ha Van Ut, although Vietnam has made many important strides, the supporting industry sector still faces major challenges: international market instability, increasingly high technical requirements from multinational corporations, and the absence of sustainable industry chains. However, these challenges also create motivation for Vietnamese enterprises to restructure, promote technology application, innovation and improve competitiveness, thereby increasing the ability to participate deeply in the global supply chain.
Promoting self-reliance and deep participation in the value chain
According to the representative of the Department of Industry and Trade, this year's event is expected to attract more than 3,000 visitors, continuing to affirm the increasingly important role of supporting industries in the national industrial development strategy. This is a forum for discussion, exchange of international experiences, finding solutions for the industry, and at the same time opening up many opportunities to help domestic enterprises participate more deeply in the global supply chain. The event is also a space to enhance sharing, connection and coordination between management agencies.

With the theme "Connecting value chains - Developing sustainable industry" and the message "Self-reliance - Self-strengthening - Honoring Vietnamese enterprises", the program clearly demonstrates the spirit of innovation and the aspiration to enhance the internal strength of domestic supporting industry enterprises.
Mr. Ha Van Ut highly appreciated the "three in one" organization model - exhibition, forum and trade connection in the same space. Thereby, creating favorable conditions for businesses to approach partners, expanding economic cooperation and exchanges between businesses practically and effectively.
Mr. Ha Van Ut affirmed that for the supporting industry to truly grow, it cannot rely on individual efforts but requires the joint efforts of the State, enterprises, institutes, schools and associations, in which enterprises play a central role.
In recent years, the Government has issued many new policies to promote the strong transformation of the supporting industry. In particular, Decree 205/2025/ND-CP is an important step, putting green transformation and digital transformation into the focus of development. At the same time, it supports businesses in saving energy, recycling materials, and reducing emissions. This is the foundation for Vietnamese businesses to improve their competitiveness, meet international standards, and increase their participation in the supply chain.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade is committed to accompanying businesses through programs to improve competitiveness and promote global supply chain connectivity; at the same time, it expects businesses to increase investment in R&D, technology and equipment innovation. "The Ho Chi Minh City Association of Supporting Industries (HASI), the Vietnam Association of Supporting Industries (VASI) and other industry associations continue to promote their role as a bridge, support members and strengthen coordination with state agencies to build a sustainable supporting industry ecosystem," Mr. Ha Van Ut suggested.
