Opening Ceremony of Vietnam Elevator Expo 2025

On the morning of December 4th, the International Elevator Expo 2025 opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City.

Boost trade and expand cooperation.

The Vietnam Elevator Expo 2025 brings together 150 international standard booths from 120 businesses and component suppliers from more than 10 countries and territories, operating in the fields of elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation and maintenance, engineering design, and real estate development. The event is a platform for companies to showcase their modern lifting equipment ecosystem, digital technology applications, artificial intelligence, and safety solutions according to international standards.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Vo Hong Son, Head of the Central and Southern Region Office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that in the context of globalization, Vietnam is actively fulfilling its international economic cooperation commitments, creating many opportunities for domestic and foreign businesses to strengthen linkages and development. The International Elevator and Escalator Trade Fair, held concurrently with Vietnam Expo HCMC 2025, is one of the large-scale trade promotion activities in Ho Chi Minh City, playing an important role as a bridge for trade.

According to Mr. Son, with the theme "Solutions for Modern Life," the exhibition has opened up a comprehensive trading space, encompassing supporting industries, equipment and technology, technical application products, and solutions serving daily life. Beyond product displays, the series of 1:1 business networking programs, specialized seminars, and promotional activities throughout the three days of the exhibition will create many practical values, contributing to promoting investment cooperation, expanding markets, and disseminating professional knowledge within the business community.

Convergence of modern lifting technology

According to the organizers, the 2024 exhibition featured 120 booths from 100 businesses, attracting over 14,000 visitors, of which 45% were trade visitors.

This year, the exhibition has increased by nearly 30% in both the number of participating businesses and exhibition space, diversifying product categories: residential and commercial elevators; escalators and moving walkways; intelligent control systems, IoT; rescue and safety equipment; energy optimization solutions, green elevators, etc.

The event brought together many global brands such as Shanghai Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Kone, Fuji, Otis, etc., along with a series of Vietnamese businesses such as Sang Nghiep Elevator Joint Stock Company, Viet Chao Joint Stock Company, Thien Nam Elevator, etc., demonstrating the attractiveness of the market and the sustainable development of Vietnam's elevator industry.

According to Credence Research (2024), the Vietnamese elevator and escalator market reached US$443.52 million, with a compound annual growth rate of 7.65%, and is projected to reach nearly US$800 million by 2032 – placing it among the fastest-growing markets in Southeast Asia. Currently, there are over 480,000 operating units nationwide, with a demand for new installations of 40,000-45,000 units per year. The 42% urbanization rate, along with major projects such as the Ho Chi Minh City Metro, Hanoi Metro, Long Thanh Airport, and large urban developments like Vinhomes, Ocean Park, and Ecopark, continues to drive the industry.

In-depth series of activities - international connections

Within the framework of the exhibition, numerous specialized seminars were held on topics such as elevator design in smart cities, green technology, safety and energy efficiency, sensors, IoT, and intelligent control systems.

International business-to-business (B2B) programs welcoming business delegations from India, South Korea, Japan, China, ASEAN countries, and Europe, expanding opportunities for cooperation and access to global technology, were also organized in parallel.

In addition, the event also features highlights such as Elevator Talk - a forum for the intersection of elevators, architecture, and art; Elevator Awards - awards honoring outstanding design and technology; and Elevator Edu - a program to enhance the capacity of human resources in the elevator industry.
