Opening of Vietnam Elevator Expo 2025

On the morning of December 4, the International Elevator - Escalator Exhibition 2025 (Elevator Expo 2025) opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City.

Promote trade and expand cooperation

Vietnam Elevator Expo 2025, brings together 150 international standard booths of 120 enterprises and component suppliers from more than 10 countries and territories, operating in the field of elevator - escalator manufacturing, installation - maintenance, technical design and real estate development. The event is where units and enterprises introduce modern lifting equipment ecosystems, digital technology applications, artificial intelligence and safety solutions according to international standards.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Vo Hong Son - Chief Representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Office in the Central - Southern region said that in the context of globalization, Vietnam is actively implementing international economic cooperation commitments, creating many opportunities for domestic and foreign enterprises to strengthen connections and development. The international elevator - escalator trade fair, held in parallel with Vietnam Expo HCMC 2025, is one of the large-scale trade promotion activities in Ho Chi Minh City, playing an important role as a trade bridge.

According to Mr. Son, with the theme “Solutions for modern life”, the Exhibition has opened up a comprehensive trading space, including supporting industries, equipment - technology, technical application products and solutions serving life, unifying. Not only stopping at displaying products, the series of 1:1 connection - trading programs, specialized seminars and promotional activities taking place throughout the three days of the exhibition will create many practical values, contributing to promoting investment cooperation, expanding the market and spreading professional knowledge in the business community.

Convergence of modern lifting technology

According to the Organizing Committee, the 2024 exhibition will feature 120 booths from 100 businesses, attracting more than 14,000 visitors, of which 45% are trade visitors.

This year, the scale increased by nearly 30% in both the number of businesses and the exhibition area, with a variety of product groups: Civil and commercial elevators; escalators and conveyors; smart control systems, IoT; rescue and safety equipment; energy optimization solutions, green elevators...

The event gathered many global brands such as: Shanghai Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Kone, Fuji, Otis,... and a series of Vietnamese enterprises such as: Sang Nghiep Elevator Joint Stock Company, Viet Chao Joint Stock Company, Thien Nam Elevator... showing the market attraction and sustainable development of the Vietnamese elevator industry.

According to Credence Research (2024), the Vietnamese elevator and escalator market reached 443.52 million USD, with a compound annual growth rate of 7.65% and is expected to reach nearly 800 million USD by 2032 - among the fastest growing in Southeast Asia. Currently, the country has more than 480,000 devices in operation, with a demand for new installation of 40,000 - 45,000 devices/year. The urbanization rate of 42% along with large projects such as Ho Chi Minh City Metro, Hanoi Metro, Long Thanh Airport and Vinhomes, Ocean Park, and Ecopark urban areas continue to create momentum for the industry.

In-depth activities - international connections

Within the framework of the exhibition, many specialized seminars were held with topics on elevator design in smart cities, green technology, safety - energy saving, sensors, IoT and smart control systems.

International business-to-business (B2B) programs to welcome business delegations from India, Korea, Japan, China, ASEAN countries and Europe, expanding cooperation opportunities and access to global technology are also organized in parallel.

In addition, the event also has outstanding activities such as Elevator Talk - a forum for the intersection of elevators, architecture and art; Elevator Awards - an award honoring outstanding design and technology; Elevator Edu - a program to improve human resources capacity in the elevator industry.
