According to information from the Department of Foreign Market Development, Ministry of Industry and Trade , from December 1st to December 3rd, Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang participated in a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung on a visit and working trip to Cuba to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.


Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang attended the ceremony commemorating the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba and the groundbreaking ceremony for the solar power plant project.
During the working trip, Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang accompanied Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung in activities such as: the 65th anniversary celebration of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (December 2, 1960 - December 2, 2025) organized by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba; talks with the First Secretary and President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz Canel; talks with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment of Cuba, Oscar Perez Oliva Fraga; laying wreaths at the Monument to President Ho Chi Minh; laying wreaths at the Monument to National Hero Jose Marti; visiting the Mariel Special Economic Development Zone; visiting and working with Vietnamese businesses investing in Mariel; witnessing the second phase of the fundraising program to support the Cuban people "65 years of Vietnam-Cuba solidarity"; and participating in the groundbreaking ceremony for the non-refundable aid project for a solar power plant to support the Cuban people.
