This is an initiative within the framework of the FEF-R Patrimoine project, funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs , and implemented in collaboration with many prestigious academic and research partners from Vietnam and France.
The project is implemented by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi in collaboration with the French École française d'Extrême-Orient and the French University Organization, with the support of the French Embassy and the French Institute in Vietnam.
The event marks an important step forward in the effort to digitize and disseminate the heritage values of the thousand-year-old capital. For the first time, historical, architectural and cultural data of a series of relics, works and streets of Hanoi are integrated and expanded on a digital platform, helping users easily access and search for information.

Ms. Pham Thi Diem, Chairwoman of Ba Dinh Ward People's Committee spoke at the ceremony.
At the same time, the project aims to introduce and promote the value of Hanoi's tangible, intangible and digital heritage through heritage tourism itineraries, interactive map systems, H-Heritage applications and QR code systems at many relic sites in central Hanoi.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Pham Thi Diem - Chairman of Ba Dinh Ward People's Committee said: "These journeys not only contribute to raising public awareness of heritage conservation, but also open up opportunities for local socio-economic development through sustainable tourism, promote exchanges, enhance integration, promote culture and traditional beauty of Vietnamese people to international friends" .
Mr. Olivier Brochet, French Ambassador to Vietnam, shared that the project "Heritage tourism itineraries in Hanoi city" is a vivid demonstration of the France - Vietnam relationship in the fields of culture, heritage and innovation.

Going beyond online journeys, the project also facilitates training of young researchers and technical teams, creates accessible content for the public, connects local partners, and opens up a fresh perspective on urbanism, heritage, and sustainable tourism.
The project is chaired by Dr. Nguyen Thi Hiep, with the participation of many French and Vietnamese experts. Over the course of more than a year of implementation, the project team has conducted field surveys, collected documents, built heritage profiles, digital maps, QR-code applications and the H-Heritage platform for the public.
On that basis, the organizers introduce four experimental heritage journeys, combining scientific research with digital technology, providing a visual, vivid and accessible method of heritage exploration.
The first is the journey of Thang Long Tu Tran - Four guardian gods of the capital. The second is the Mother Goddess temples - the unique Mother Goddess worship of Vietnam. Next is the communal house to worship the ancestors - the memory of the labor of the prosperous capital. And finally, the Hanoi pagoda - the mark of the great master's meditation and the transformation of urban Buddhism.
Each journey is associated with a different story, reflecting the structure, spirit and memories of the people of Hanoi past and present. With just a smartphone, visitors can "touch history", explore the depth of the thousand-year culture of Thang Long - Hanoi in the most intuitive way.
The project “Heritage tourism itineraries in Hanoi city” promises to become an important tool in preserving and spreading the cultural values of Thang Long, thereby opening up a direction for sustainable, modern and unique tourism development for the capital in the future.
