Supporting women members to borrow nearly 28 billion VND for economic development - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

By December 2025, the Women's Union of Dong Khe commune had provided credit through various channels to help 350 members borrow nearly 28 billion VND to start businesses, develop economic models , escape poverty, and become rich legitimately.

With start-up support from the Provincial Women's Union and Dong Khe commune, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Tuc Nga hamlet, invested in producing black jelly, a 3-star OCOP product.

In particular, the Commune Women's Union coordinated with the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank to provide credit loans to 313 member households with a total outstanding debt of over 26.5 billion VND; from the Women's Development Support Fund of the Provincial Women's Union , 17 members borrowed 1.29 billion VND; and maintained savings fund models for more than 10 members in difficult circumstances to borrow interest-free loans of over 100 million VND.

In addition, the Commune Women's Union also promotes women's movements to help each other with 550 laborers planting corn, rice, star anise, cinnamon, fat, acacia... training in applying new knowledge, science and technology; sending members to attend training courses on production and business planning and writing proposals for start-up ideas... suitable to local production conditions.

From practical support resources , women members have the opportunity to invest in developing livestock and poultry farming models, growing crops, and producing high-quality OCOP products such as black jelly, organic tea, fragrant squash, green-skinned grapefruit, star anise, etc., creating opportunities for members to escape poverty according to multidimensional criteria and strive to become rich legitimately.
