The meaning of the contest to learn about 80 years of tradition of the Traffic Police force

Implementing the plan of the Ministry of Public Security on organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traffic Police Force's Traditional Day (February 21, 1946 - February 21, 2026), the Traffic Police Department chaired the organization of the contest "Learning about the 80-year tradition of building, fighting and growing of the Traffic Police Force".

According to the contest organizers, after the launch, the contest received positive responses from a large number of police officers and soldiers and people from all walks of life. The organizers deployed the contest to professional departments under the Ministry of Public Security, police academies, schools, and police units and localities nationwide.

The organizers said that the contest "Learning about the 80-year tradition of building, fighting and growing of the Traffic Police force" is a large-scale contest, attracting many participants both inside and outside the People's Public Security force.

The contest is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traffic Police Force's tradition; and at the same time, it is an activity to respond to the country's major holidays of the year: National Day September 2; 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Force's tradition day (August 19); 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19), leading up to the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Force's founding day (February 21).

Through the contest, we aim to contribute to spreading the tradition, the process of building, fighting and maturing of the traffic police force through the periods, associated with the stages of resistance against foreign invaders and building national unity.

In addition, the contest has contributed to arousing the pride and responsibility of the traffic police officers and soldiers, encouraging the people's police officers and soldiers in general and the traffic police officers and soldiers in particular, promoting the glorious tradition, actively contributing their strength and intelligence to the work of ensuring social order and safety, and traffic order and safety of the traffic police force.

The contest organizers said that the above results were achieved thanks to the attention and direction of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the effective implementation of the police of units and localities, and the close coordination of the organizing committee and the Department of Political Education and Student Affairs - Ministry of Education and Training, which has been launched to all schools nationwide.

The Organizing Committee also proactively diversified the launch and information about the contest on mass media and on the website of the Traffic Police Department.

From the launch of the contest to September 30, the organizing committee received 14,350 entries from officers and soldiers of units under the Ministry of Public Security, local police, people's police schools, teachers, students of high schools, middle schools, primary schools and a large number of people.

In the preliminary round, the jury selected 200 outstanding entries and after independent marking, selected 40 high-quality entries to enter the final round.

In the final round, the jury scored all 40 works selected from the preliminary round, and ranked them from high to low according to the average score of the judges.

The Organizing Committee decided to award prizes to the entries according to the following prize structure: 1 First prize; 3 Second prizes; 5 Third prizes; 20 Consolation prizes.
