Không ít trường không sử dụng kết quả học bạ để tuyển sinh đại học năm 2026.
Many schools will not use transcripts for university admissions in 2026.

According to the announcement of the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts (Hanoi National University), in 2026, the school will not use high school transcripts as an admission method for all training majors.

In the 2025 enrollment season, the school will apply two methods to 5/8 majors: combining transcripts with international language certificates or reviewing transcripts with aptitude test results.

The school notes that the 2026 university admission plan will be officially announced on the website. Candidates need to follow to update the major codes, quotas, admission combinations and important milestones.

Information from Hanoi University of Science and Technology said that in 2026, the school will maintain 3 stable admission methods including: Talent selection, based on thinking assessment test scores, based on high school graduation exam scores.

In particular, with the admission based on the capacity profile combined with the interview, the transcript score is changed to the thinking assessment score. Since implementing this method, this is the first time Hanoi University of Science and Technology has "said no" to the transcript results for candidates from specialized high schools.

Hanoi National University of Education 2 has also announced the method of regular university admission in 2026. In particular, with the method of considering academic records, instead of applying to all majors like last year, the school plans to apply it only to the following majors: Preschool Education, Physical Education, Civic Education, Information Technology Pedagogy, Information Technology, Materials Science, Sports Management, Vietnamese Studies, Pedagogy, Political Economy.

Compared to last year, in 2026, 17 industries are expected to no longer use the high school transcript admission method.

Many universities in the Southern region have also announced that they will not use or limit the scope of using the high school transcript review method in the 2026 admissions period.

Statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training show that in the 2025 admission period, out of 17 admission methods, the percentage of schools using the transcript review method is 42.4%, the percentage using high school graduation exam scores is 39.1%, and the remaining 18.5% are other methods.

Considering academic records is a popular admission method of universities, with a high admission rate of about 30-50%. In this method, schools often take scores from 3-5 semesters from grade 10 to 12. However, in recent years, this admission method has caused a lot of controversy.

At the 2025 university education conference held in September, the Ministry of Education and Training sought opinions from higher education institutions on whether to keep or remove the admission method based on academic records from 2026. However, there has been no official decision yet.
