Some international universities in Vietnam have opened their portals to receive university admission applications for 2026.
RMIT University Vietnam
RMIT University Vietnam has just announced the method and time of university admission for the 2026 academic year. This unit recruits students by selection, students studying the program of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam or other educational systems will have specific admission criteria.
Specific input conditions are as follows:

The application period will depend on which semester students enroll in 2026. Accordingly, there are 3 university admission periods each year at RMIT Vietnam including:
- February-March: application deadline is February 6 or until the department receives enough applications;
- June-July: Application deadline is June 12 or until the department receives enough applications;
- October: Application deadline is October 9 or until the program receives sufficient applications.
As some courses may be full before the deadline, the school will stop accepting applications if the places are full. At that time, students will be advised for the next intake.

Fulbright University Vietnam
Applicants must be Vietnamese citizens or foreigners who have graduated or will graduate from high school or equivalent before the time of admission and meet the requirements on academic ability, personal qualities and English language requirements.
Academic ability: High school GPA of at least 7.0/10 according to the Vietnamese high school program or equivalent.
Personal Qualities: Have at least one extracurricular activity that demonstrates potential in one of the qualities Fulbright looks for: curiosity, love of challenge and creativity, and concern for others.
English Requirement: Have an English certificate with a minimum score of IELTS 6.0 (or TOEFL iBT 70, or Duolingo English Test 95, or equivalent).
For candidates studying high school programs other than the Vietnamese high school program, the requirements for a high school diploma are determined as follows:
- International Baccalaureate (IB): IB Diploma;
- UK High School System (A-Level): A-Level Certificate/Statement of Result with an average score of 3 subjects from 7.0/10 or higher;
- Australian High School System: High School Diploma from one of the following states/territories: WACE, SACE, VCE;
- Applicants without a high school diploma but awarded a degree from post-high school education systems such as: Associate Degree from community colleges in the US (from accredited schools), Diploma from polytechnic schools in Singapore, or other equivalent degrees will be considered by Fulbright on a case-by-case basis.
Academic competency requirements are defined as follows:
- International Baccalaureate (IB): IB Predicted score of 24 or higher;
- UK High School System (A-Level): A-Level Predicted Grades with an average score of 7.0/10 or higher in 3 subjects;
- Australian High School System: GPA 70/100 (or 8 Cs or higher in Grade 11 subjects);
- US High School System (4.0 Unweighted GPA/ Standard GPA scale): GPA 2.5/4.0.
Fulbright University Vietnam organizes regular enrollment for the 2026-2030 school year, opening applications on January 5, 2026 and closing applications at 5:00 p.m. on April 6, 2026. Each candidate can only submit one application for the 2026-2030 school year.
VinUni
In the 2026-2027 school year, VinUni will enroll undergraduate students in all majors of 4 institutes:
- The Institute of Business Administration trains bachelors of business administration with 6 majors: finance, marketing, supply chain and operations management, tourism and hotel management, entrepreneurship, and business analysis.
- The Institute of Engineering and Computer Science offers bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, and data science.
- Institute of Health Sciences trains medical doctors and bachelor of nursing.
- The Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers bachelor's degrees in multimedia, psychology, and economics.
VinUni's three admission periods in the next school year include:
- Phase 1 from October 15, 2025 to January 15, 2026;
- Phase 2 from February 15 to May 15, 2026;
- Phase 3 from June 15 to August 15, 2026.
The undergraduate application includes: personal information, a 1-page CV, a short essay, academic qualifications, honors and awards, non-academic achievements, etc. VinUni selects and evaluates candidates comprehensively and multi-dimensionally according to 4 criteria: outstanding ability, aspiration, creativity, commitment.
