On December 2, news from the People's Committee of Dong Nai province said that in 2025, Dong Nai province's GRDP is estimated to reach 9.63%, exceeding the target assigned by the Government.

Long Thanh Airport and Phuoc An Port are the "locomotives" of growth.

Specifically, according to statistics from the General Statistics Office ( Ministry of Finance ), Dong Nai province's GRDP in the fourth quarter is estimated to increase by 10.73%, ranking fourth in the country.

GRDP for the whole year of 2025 is estimated to reach 9.63%, exceeding 1.13 percentage points (the highest level in the country) compared to the target assigned by the Government (8.50%).

According to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, the above results were achieved thanks to the great efforts of the government, the business community and the people. Phuoc An port is located on the banks of Thi Vai river, the largest seaport in Dong Nai province with an area of ​​183 hectares, a total wharf length of more than 3,000 m, including 6 container wharfs, 4 general wharfs capable of receiving ships with a capacity of 60,000 DWT.

And especially the Long Thanh airport project, 5,000 hectares wide in Long Thanh commune, is accelerating towards the finish line. Expected to welcome the first flight on December 19, 2025, and start operation in 2026.

It is forecasted that when Long Thanh airport comes into operation, this will be a major growth pole for Dong Nai to break through, a potential, advantage, and important driving force for double-digit economic growth in the coming time.

In addition, the system of connecting traffic routes is gradually being completed, administrative reform is being promoted, and the attractive investment and business environment... are factors creating a solid foundation for Dong Nai to enter a new development stage with the prospect of rapid and sustainable growth.

Targeting double-digit growth for the 2026 - 2030 period

The new Dong Nai province (after merging Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc) has an area of ​​12,737.18 km², with a population of about 4.5 million people. The province has 95 commune-level administrative units, including 72 communes and 23 wards. The provincial Party Committee has 99 subordinate Party Committees with 131,989 Party members. It is a locality with cultural, historical, ethnic and religious diversity (with 37 ethnic minorities and 10 religions).

In the period 2026 - 2030, Dong Nai sets an average GRDP growth rate of 10% or more.
